Tim Tebow's 'Iron Sharpens Iron' Pep Talk Has Sports Media Quoting Scripture

Ask Tim Tebow to speak and one thing is certain – chances are good that the outspoken Christian quarterback for the Denver Broncos will talk about his love for Jesus.

Quotes from Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow's "Iron sharpens iron" pre-game speech before the San Diego Chargers game last week is making the rounds in the sports world, November 2011.

It is so clear that Tebow will not shy away from interjecting his faith at any opportunity that sports reporters now seem more accustomed to him including Scripture references and game-life applications coming from the Bible in locker room post-game interviews.

Even more amazing, reporters and sports analysts are leading their broadcasts and stories with Tebow’s Scripture references.

On Monday, after the Broncos’ overtime win over the San Diego Chargers on Sunday, Denver Post sports writer Mark Kiszla wrote in his lead, the opening paragraph: “Quarterback Tim Tebow no longer prints Bible verses on his eye black, but the Broncos believe what their quarterback is preaching. On the eve of Denver's 16-13 overtime victory against San Diego, Tebow's message to teammates was Proverbs 27:17.”

I would not be surprised if someday this young man became President.

What stuns me is that if a player was doing this 100 years ago, no one would have batted an eye. It would have been commonplace. This shows how far down the Progressives have dragged this nation into a Godless abyss. We must take this nation back, and I stand with Tim Tebow, who is doing one man’s part in the struggle.

This kind of moral fibre and reliance on Providence could cause us to pull ourselves together as a nation and avert impending disaster...

Just sayin’...

"...I stand with Tim Tebow, who is doing one man’s part in the struggle."

IMHO, Tebow is doing more than one man's part. That's how leaders operate :-)

The press might be shocked about this, but think about where most of these guys come from: the are mostly from the middle to lower class, and a majority are probably from the south.

This behavior is surprising to us wispy and catholic northeasterners. But it is not that out of place in the Southern Baptist belt across the south.

he is from just down the street to where we are and you are right.

All people around here are like him and when the tourists come and some stay they all get pissed off with the natives, hunting, churches etc.

LOL Hey we have a 200 plus foot cross here in town which lights up at night and there is nothing the left can do about it LOL.
Course this town is the first place where a Christian prayer was ever said in north America

We’re going to use the “iron sharpens iron” passage as inspiration for our struggling CYO team next year. He is so inspirational to the Christian youth in this counrty. I really hope he knows the power his belief has on the kids!

Good for Him. We need more and more of his kind of belief system. We have been trained to keep our mouthes shut regarding our Belief in Jesus Christ.
Remember Christs words “ He who denies me on earth, I will deny before my Father “.

I remember in the ‘80s one year was designated the Year of the Bible. I remember, I believe a Seattle Seahawk player on commercials promoting the Year and the Book. Maybe Jim Zorn or Steve Largent. Anyone else remember this?

Lets just hope he doesnt get caught up in the medias scandalmongering.

It only takes one accusation. And it doesnt even have to be true.

go to my local chick fil a here in St Augustine and they always say have a blessed day,< this is the same town where Tebow comes from, first Christian prayer was ever said >

Since going there I find myself saying have a blessed day to others and it’;s quite surprising how many say it back.

It’s about time we all spoke up and stood up for what we believe in whether it be marriage or how the media are to Tebow.

The left have tried to shut us all up for decades and enough is enough but now they go after Tebow and can’t understand how so many in this country are defending him

Jim Harbaugh used that line immediately after the 49ers loss to the Ravens on Thanksgiving and it didn’t even get a mention around here. Tebow is a copycat.
