I have someone over on Facebook (a liberal with a British husband) who says there isn’t anyone who can beat Obama now. Barring a miracle of Almighty God (who I now think has abandoned us as we did to Him), I think she’s right.

Don't be silly. All this means is our best choice got wiped out. It's sad, really, but it's not the end of the world.

There are plenty of good conservatives out there who could beat Obama. But the primary system and media seem capable of defeating anyone who subjects themselves to the process. Perhaps the party needs to look at having the delegates at the convention nominate a person who has not been discredited in advance by the current process.
