Well as we know if the media proclaims it, we must obey. Bad Newt, good media.
My criticism is not about the media. They can be counted on to attack anyone on our side viciously. What is being questioned is Newt's competence in making it so easy on them. I vividly recall at the time that he kept making arrogant blunder after arrogant blunder. He acted very much like Nancy Pelosi with an air of Imperial big-headedness regarding his role as speaker of the house. He made it EASY for the media to stir up hate against him.
He was on our side at one time, and I loved him for it, but too many times has he stubbornly gone the wrong way. Scozzafava and Global Warming being only two of the more recent examples. I'll vote for him if he wins the primary, but I very much would rather have someone else than either him or Romney.
