Newt fires back at Pelosi: Bring it on!
The Right Scoop ^ | 12/5/2011 | The Right Scoop

Newt today said that if Pelosi wants to disclose information about himself from when she was on the ethics committee, that the House should immediately file charges against her as that is a violation of the rules of the House:

First of all I’d like to thank Speaker Pelosi for what I regard as an early Christmas gift. If she’s suggesting she’s gonna use material she developed while she was on the ethics committee, that is a fundamental violation of the rules of the House and I would hope members would immediately file charges against her the second she does it.

Here’s the full clip:

He was probably asked to help.

So what you are saying is, he's a socialist if he's asked to help? Sorry, that's bad enough. Can you name any other conservative who did that, when, "asked to help?" No, because there isn't one. Even Bush and McCain wouldn't do what Gingrich did. Hence, he's waaay to the left of them.

Newt says if Nancy releases anything from the Ethics Committee she should be immediately investigated by the House.

Sounds good, but even with a RINO Republican majority, what are the chances of that happening?

Is it really a fight when you respond to a threat by punching your “would be” attacker in the mouth?

Newt = giving dems all the respect they have earned.....NONE!

I vaguely remember some story about him flying in the back of Air Force One (when Slick Willie was roosting in it) and Newt took umbrage because he thought he deserved better. They tossed him some sort of bone and he exited the plane wagging his tail.

And you are repeating vaguely-remembered leftist propaganda here on FR why exactly?

Now they're all tossing each other ahead of them in the line.

That would be the "Feeding the alligator" line, hoping to be last.

Pelosi will be walking stright into a chainsaw, just like Pickett at Gettysburg. Marching straight at Newt’s strong point.

I'm beginning to wonder if the fear of being flayed on national TV is why the "media" have steered clear of Gingrich. They've seen him rip their flesh three times in debates... no one wants to be on the receiving end of that.

I got a solution for you:

Obama only did the healthcare bills, because he was asked to help.

Just like magic, by you definition, Obama is a conservative.

Obama only did porkulus because he was asked to help.

Poof, Obama is a conservative. Just by using your semantic twist, we can make everyone a conservative!

From The Hill

Gingrich denounced the threat from Pelosi, who is now the minority leader in the House, as "a fundamental violation of the rules of the House," and said that if Pelosi were to disclose details of the investigation, it would expose the "tainted ethics process the House was engaged in." He also called for the House to condemn Pelosi if she were to reveal anything from the ethics probe.

Doesn't sound like Newt's too worried about what she might have to reveal.

well, why doesn't Newt just tell us what the ethics committee was investigating? If he doesn't want Pelosi exposing it it must be bad....

It wasn't bad. Just drummed up stuff. But it was enough to scare the GOP establishment and they dumped him.

Do you think Pelosi cares? First off she knows nothing will get done. Second, it isn’t about ethics, it is about the country hearing about Newt, again.

Pelosi will declare that she had no knowledge of this. Congressional Republicans will make a stink, the media will ask why Republicans don’t want all the information to come out....

Well you get the picture. Meanwhile the MSM will crucift Newt.

Here is a question, if the Republican candidates are so bad, why are the left trying to destroy them? If anything, they told the American people, Mitt is the only candidate the left thinks it can beat.

I think I read elsewhere that Newt would request that ALL the material be released and point to the fact that the IRS absolved him of wrong doings when they finally audited the records.

He left the House in 1998.

Actually, it was 1999. Do you know why he left? Because when patriots were trying to save this country from Bill Clinton, he was conducted adultery with his aide. Which he knew, if discovered, would save Bill Clinton. The conservative movement in this country has never recovered. How many times do you want to be stabbed in the back by the same person?

As you probably know, judging by your comment, the reason that Gingrich had to step down originally was essentially because the GOP establishment stopped supporting him. They were actually embarrassed by his success and considered him “divisive,” and they couldn’t wait to get Dodd (IIRC) into his position.

You are either a moron or a liar. The subject of the ethics committee investigation is in the public record.
