Right. knowledge is not only good but absolutely necessary for mankind to survive. Eventually a comet will wipe out the Earth. But 600 light years away is meaningless from an exploration standpoint. I just think man will be limited to a much smaller range of exploration for a long, long time or possibly forever. Even if one could travel at the half the speed of light it might take 2400 light years to reach it once one factors in acceleration and deacceleration. It might be easier to colonize or even terraform Mars
