There is a basic point here that everyone misses, even regarding Romney.

There is no way these people and a republican Congress, are not going to repeal Obamacare and the individual mandate. Heck, the Supreme Court may invalidate the individual mandate by then.

Yes, they all toyed with the idea, and they supported the medicare prescription drug plan because let’s face it, politics. They are not pure yada yada yada.

But we are going to have to pick one of these republicans. It probably is not going to be Bachman or Santorum.

Yes, Newt and every other republican has toyed with some big government. They still will be 1000% better than Obama, for more reasons than can be listed here.

Newt is not a libertarian. He also is not a liberal.

last point, Newt is right that people needed to be prepared for big change and a consensus needs to be developed. That is policy neutral, and it is unfair to call it “progressive rhetoric” as Beck does.

They will repeal Obamacare because either they do or it will be a short 4 years (or less) for them.

"There is no way these people and a republican Congress, are not going to repeal Obamacare and the individual mandate."

If you think that's going to happen under either Romney or Gingrich's leadership, I think you're barking up the wrong tree. Either one might tinker with it a little, but at the end of the day, they'll just try to pass it off in a way that sounds acceptable to the moderate faction of the party - and that will be that.

Whig Newton has taken millions over the years from the healthcare industry. If it's down to us or them, he'll come down on their side - bank on it.

The RINOs and progressives like Newt don’t have the stomach for the fight. As soon as one of their beltway elite friends start to poo poo any changes to Obamacare or any other communist program from Obama, they will be ready to cave. Newtie has a history of this. Kissing up to long face Kerry and sitting on the seat with San Fran Nan are just a couple of examples of this.

Consensus is the best Newt has to offer. But just wait till the dems start calling the lib Senators from Tennessee radical right wing extremists. Then the consensus will be communist ideas that moderate liberal ideas on the right and marxist ideas on the left.

The democrats will band together with a group of RINOs who will look to Newtie for cover. They will ram through every liberal idea, Soros program, defense cut, illegal giveaway and tax increase that they can think up. That is what you get when you put your faith in a RINO.

I know this from experience. The so-called conservatives who elected Charlie Crist here in Florida sound exactly like these Newt supporters when told about their candidate’s liberal proclivities. We just want to beat so and so became a very hollow cry once the RINOs started trying to water down everything.

Teddy was a “Progressive” which means socialist. So if Newt is a Teddyite it means he is a socialist.
