It is astonishing to me how many people are still comfortable being a Democrat, a devout Leftist.

I have lived in South Carolina for the last 28 years and I am astonished at how many African Americans consider themselves to be devout Christians, yet they vote Democrat all the time.

That does stand out, but there are many whites who have no excuse for doing the same thing.

What I find particularly sad, is that the South was solid Democrat in the days of the Klan. You go back to the Civil War, and blacks have been kept down by them for over 150 years. The political figures who fought against the civil rights movement, were largely Democrats. Until yesterday, if you can believe it, I never knew that Martin Luther King was a registered Repbubican. (I've got to do some research to make sure that's true. If so, WOW!" The Great Society programs were largely Democrat programs, intended to help blacks, but even they undeniably destroyed the black family more effectively than any prior Klan contrivance did. When you add in abortions, and the massive numbers of black women who have them, it's as if genocide was devised and implemented to reduce a black presense in the U.S. Who drives that? Democrats.

None the less, blacks vote almost as a solid block for Democrats. It's a real shame they do.
