Recall the iconic photo of NY firemen raising the flag over a smoldering Ground Zero was picked as the SECOND most powerful photo of that year, behind some random placeholder.
The press long-ago stopped pretending they're doing anything but trying to destroy the old fabric of US culture.

Judging by the most common images here it would appear the Buzzfeed people think anti capitalist riots were the singular event of the year.

I often think back of 911 when I driving in LA, seeing thousands dressed in their Muslim garb speaking in foreign languages.
I called the White to complain, and got press 1 for English.
