That really makes no sense when we’re also paying out EITC: they pay the tax and then we pay it back to them. The net effect is the same as it is currently.
If you’re talking about taking away the EITC in this economy, good luck. I think there are more productive things we could do to improve the economy that would take less political capital.
” - - - Uh, the Social Security Trust Fund has always been nothing more than an empty shell. “
There is no SSTF because the Federal Govt. goes broke every year, AND has been in debt since the middle of the 1800’s. All income money goes into the General Fund.
By extending the payroll tax cut, there will be a reduction in Federal Income equal to the first year of the 1.2 Trillion dollars/10 years that the Super Committee failed to find.
Now the ball moves to the Obamanator to cut Federal spending for the same amount, according to the Speaker of the House Boehner Formula.
That would be a delightful pre-State of the Union present from the Republicans to the vacationing Kenya Kid.
” - - - hussein and moochelle don’t travel together anyway, they like to double the cost. “
Maybe they are just being “uppity?”
Is the borrowed money only for specific items, or is borrowed money spread across the whole spectrum? You imply that certain taxes fund certain items. Is that true?
Blago knows this.
It’s why he kept his yap shut about Barky...
I’d like to see him go someplace that starts with an “H” but it sure isn’t Hawaii.

Reagan’s favorite Christmas gift
“Christmas has always been a very special day for as long back as I can remember,” Ronald Reagan once reminisced in a letter. “Maybe this was due to my mother and her joyous spirit about the day.”
Although President Reagan could have spent his White House Christmases with family at his beloved ranch in Santa Barbara, Calif., he instead stayed in Washington, D.C. This way, his sacrifice allowed Secret Service agents and other aides to spend Christmas at home with their families. He was a thoughtful person”
Those were the days.
Now we have a petulant bobblehead manchild whining about not being with his wife and kids in Hawaii..maybe THEY shoud stay home, too
Good. I am glad something has caused him to think about his so-called leadership function.
Perhaps this will make sense to you. The Obamanator is using class warfare to “frame the enemy” in his quest to destroy more of America for the next four years. He is counting on people who do not pay Pers. FIT to vote for him.
Obama’s Brown Shirts are the OWS who gleefully proclaim on their expensive cell phones that they are the 99 %, and thus, helpless victims of the rich 1 %. These 99 % OWS victims pay no Pers. FIT.
Meanwhile, the 47 % who pay NO personal Federal Income Taxes, will gladly vote for Obama to keep from paying even a 1 % Pers. FIT.
“USA Today” has an article today that states that 500,000 households in the USA pay NO Pers. FIT, and their incomes range between $ 75,000 and $ 100,000 per year.
Hence, as a basic citizen fee, collect 1 % of income from ALL of the 100 % citizens, as a goodwill gesture of being “Fair.”
All other taxes are to be piled on top of the basic 1 % FIT, but EVERYBODY has at least 1 % of THEIR skin in the game when they vote for POTUS from then on.
The purpose is to reduce the size of the damned US Federal Government from as many legal angles as possible. It is a system beyond repair, and therefore must be made as small as possible.
Rezco for sure, Blago I do not think so.
Nope, we just disagree. I don’t think it will create any new GOP voters and others will see it as proving Obama right.
The problem is that no politician who keeps the 47 % free lunch bunch safe will lose another election, and America goes bankrupt. Enjoy Obamanation.
Then he risks Blago singing like a canary. But if it is too late for them both to make a deal Obama could screw them.
Uh, the Social Security Trust Fund has always been nothing more than an empty shell. What Obama is doing is shifting part of the cost of paying Social Security to current receipients from FICA taxes to borrowing (or Fed money printing).
I was trying to distill the current debate into a five-second sound bite that the sheeple would understand. The SSTF narrows the topic to emotional bread and butter: Obama is risking your Social Security cheques. Otherwise, the discussion is just the need to cut expenses before cutting taxes, which is lost on the majority.
You are here.
Pass it and send it off to Dingy Harry and then on to Obama.
The Democrats are famous for naming Bills that have nothing to do with what they actually do, so the Republicans should join the club. Of course, the Republican Leadership has no clue how Politics are played.
