Maybe the criminal used one of Eric Holder’s “Fast and Furious” guns!

It is quite coincidental that Virgina Tech (high name recognition) has a cop killer shooting over a very minor traffic issue, a potential witness is also killed and the shooter has quite effectively vanished.

This occured just as the news is reporting Holder is getting his butt handed to him in the hearings for withholding subpoenaed emails that he (Eric) wrote and sent. He is being found, and is being told to his face he is lying and will be impeached. All on the record in front of the cameras.

Then, presto, "Cop Shot At Virgina Tech, Gunman On The Loose."

How lucky is that for Eric?

There was a report of shots fired outside the Performing Arts building that turned out to be trash trucks slamming down dumpsters. I suspect that’s what that report was related to.

Sorry that it is possible that such a thing exists as an intentional, premeditation action/distraction of this nature.

Plenty of "gun-free" zones out there....where it means the general public can't carry.

And having sidearms does NOT mean you are protected!

Why not? There’s a sign over the main campus entrance that reads: “Gun Free Zone! Come in and Bag Your Fill!”

30,000 people on that Campus, and not one can legally carry a gun to protect themselves. That really is an invitation to Bag your Fill!

I think that would be akin to disarming the entire populace of the County in which I reside...

From local reports, the shooter came up to the officer as the policeman had the motorist stopped. The media reports the shooter was a student at the university.

Although I don’t think this has anything to do with Holder, I do think all of the news reports about the commission fining the school and rallies concerning the right to carry could very well have goaded a mentally ill individual toward this act. We may never know.

I know very little about Virginia Tech. It's a state-run university, right? If so, am I correct in presuming that it's a typical ultra-liberal government institution?

You can presume that to any state-run or public school institution, in fact to about 95% of all private education institutions as well. In fact you can presume a liberal, left-wing, socialist, pro-LGBT, pro-Islamic, anti-gun politically correct slant to pretty much all Fortune 500 companies. 80 years of socialist indoctrination in the school systems & socialist programs instituted by the states & federal government have succeeded beyond their wildest imagination, even with the demise of the Soviet Union.

Update - the dead shooter has been identified as 22 year old Ross Ashley, a Radford University student. Radford University is located not far from VA Tech.
