Dog fight a missile, you have been watching too much star wars. If you could fly at the same speed as a missile you just out run its fuel.

This doesn’t surprise me one iota. If we look at how Pakistan has been positioning itself in the global arena just take a look at thEir new choice of Amabassador to the U.S.

Sherry Rehman is an even more scandalous thing than the drone prohibition by the Pakistanis. Now you will have every human rights groups and liberal in Washington declaring the Pakistanis caring about human rights and they are right in their declarations. They have a ‘progressive’ Ambassador in Washington!

Little do they tell you, she has aided and abetted the Pakistani Army and ISI campaigns to support their terrorist support.

These statement are meant for internal consumption in Pakistan and don’t reflect the reality of Pakistan’s positions. The US has paid for the Paki military for at least a decade - we know it, they know it - the last thing they want to see is for that source of funding to dry up, especially in light of a significant insurgency movement in Pakistan. No question that there are bad guys in their military, but the ones that don’t want to lose their jobs or see their country even more overrun by knuckleheads out number them. They’ve got a good reason to worry, so playing “good cop/bad cop” is an important strategy.

If they try, US may declare war against Pakistan as terrorist protecting rogue states and wipe Pakistan off the map. NO one may be in the way on the war on terror.

It’s not, though. It was when we had a leader in office.

Now we have a bitch for a President, so this is what happens.

I don’t think this is a hostile reaction but an angry one because 24 of their soldiers were killed by mistake. Of course, as an Islamic state, Pakistan trains terrorists, but that should not make us justify every killing by NATO. If we did that, there would be no morals on our side and we would be no different from them.

You didn’t think that you could get away with injecting some reality into this thread, did you?

“The Bush administration threatened to bomb Pakistan “back to the stone age” after the September 11 attacks if the country did not cooperate ...”

Time to inform them that this statement is still operative.
***************************************************************
Just how far OUT of the Stone Age is Pakistan supposed to be now, anyway?

Actually, in many ways, a stone-age person is more admirable, honorable, and trustworthy than a modern, Pakistani Muslim.

"It's worth bearing in mind that every single piece of military hardware Pakistan threatens us with is US-made and paid for by US taxpayers."

Hopefully, the DOD was smart enough to make sure there is a "back door" - a way of disabling the weapons should the necessity arise. Most advanced weaponry depends on computer software - some of that software could just have "bugs".

"But before we take action send all Pakis in the US home before they become a formidable fifth column."

Can we survive losing that many 7-11 managers and clerks at one time? What will New York City do for cab drivers?
