Tebow has never said he wins football games because Jesus pushed the ball through the uprights or helped him complete a 40yd pass into the end zone.

Tebow credits God and his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for providing him with the talent, determination, drive and desire that leads him to win and allows him to lead teams. And that he does, and does very well; his drive, determination, humility, thankfulness and ethics are contagious and rubs off on others. Exactly why Denver has been able to pull out 7 last minute wins and nothing less than what good leaders are able to bring out in those they lead.

Jesus isn’t putting scores up on the score board for Tebow and never once has Tebow even suggested such nonsense. He has never changed on this point whether in college or now in the NFL. Others though, take great joy in putting words and/or thoughts into Tebow’s mouth and mind. Some through their own ignorance who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus and can’t not understand the simple words of praise from someone who does. Others take great joy in raking Tebow over the coals for his beliefs and can’t wait for Denver to lose so they can say “told ya so, Jesus doesn’t care about football”.

I never said he did either. Yet, there are plenty here on FR and outside of FR that are inferring that.

No way it could be the modern equivalent of a burning bush?

Just asking :-)

“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” Matt. 6:26

“And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.” Matt 10:30

To say G-d doesn’t care about what we do and how we do it is bordering on heresy. If we glorify Him in everything we do he will bless us. He wants to give his children good gifts. G-d may not care about who wins a football game but I guarantee you he cares about how we as Christians play that game.

As for Tebow not technically winning the game. Prater didn’t get to the 34-yard line by himself he needed Tebow to get him there.

That's not even near the red zone. A 59 yarder to go into overtime followed by a 51 yarder to win it is impressive. You realize the NFL all-time record is 63 yards, right?

Tebow has had an amazing run, but Sunday's game was saved by the kicker. Tebow almost blew it with a fumble, and no one is really even talking about how amazing the Denver defense is playing.

Sunday's win was a team effort if there ever was one.

Maybe Prater is actually the Divine One and Tebow is just the messenger like in Sunday’s Gospel.
