I remember one fresh crop of Navy LCDR doctors that showed up at Annapolis one summer for “training”. They had no uniforms yet and didn’t even know how to salute properly. Later some went to the store and purchased combination caps with “scrambled eggs” on the brim which are reserved for O-5s and above. Their military knowledge, bearing, experience and skills were nil, yet they already had mid-level officer status.

Well if we are playing the hypothetical game...and those are the only two choices then Gingrich of course.
But the primary hasn’t even happened yet.
So let me throw two back at you.
What is Ron Paul wins the primary and it is Paul vs Obama who do you vote for?

Easy. We’re discussing Paul’s constitutional-libertarian viewpoints, not his electability or fitness for the presidency.
Interesting statistic. It underscores both the resonance of his views for the young, as well as his weakness as a candidate for the older (and voting). Imagine the strength of the right candidate with this message.
Well, OK then.
I don’t have a favorite, but am not a repub so it doesn’t matter in the primary for me. I would be really tough for me to have to vote for Romney or Paul (both worse than Gingrich).
