“show me where in the constitution we are the policemen of the world? “

Nowhere. However, we tried to be isolationist in the 1930’s. How did that experiment work out?

Unfortunately, world is evil place, and bad things will happen to the US, if we don’t protect ourselves. If we don’t eliminate the threat of Taleban, Iran or AQ (or Japan/Germany in the past), they will eventually kill us in the US.

I like being alive, compared being dead. I prefer US government to keep threats in check.

You’re right to be concerned with the Taliban, Iran and AQ. I think that’s perfectly reasonable, and I agree the world is a relatively evil place. I am more concerned, though, with the petty tyrants in this country. I think it’s much more likely the evil people in this country will bankrupt and enslave us, unless we put a halt to the wild, unrestrained growth of government. To me, Paul is the best candidate to kill the nanny state, and cut spending.

I think you need to read some of the recent columns by Pat Buchanan. Wars almost never achieve their intended results. Japan posed no direct threat to the U.S.; they did threaten the moribund Euro. colonial powers in SE Asia. They fought us because we blocked their war effort against China and Russia. By eliminating Japan, we opened E. Asia to the Soviets (who launched the Korean War) and Maoist China. That was, in fact, the objective of the many Commies who infested the Roosevelt admin. In Europe, our supposed British allies were allegedly fighting to protect Poland, yet the war ended with Poland and all of E. Europe in the hands of the Soviets, who killed many times more people than Nazi Germany.

We've done it again. By eliminating Saddam Hussein, we opened up the Middle East to Iranian domination. As in the past, the eastern elitists led this disastrous policies. So who is it who doesn't "learn from history?"

What would have happened if we did not join WWII? The Russians were kicking the stuffing out of Germany and logistically they were already losing. Japan? Amazing fighters but until Roosevelt provoked them by blockade, that war was not ours.

Keep threats in check? We dont even keep our borders in check. The Patriot Act is not about protecting our country, it is about controlling our citizens. We are walking towards Leftist Totalitarian Fascism. And the pace has quickened.
