Newt did say that FDR was his “favorite” President and that he was taking a “lot of heat from the Right” on his views on FDR. Newt is always positioning himself in the middle when he sees it is to his advantage depending on the audience. When he criticized the Ryan plan on Medicare, he equated “right wing social engineering” with “left wing social engineering” as though there was a moral equivalency or that there was such as thing as “right wing social engineering.”

That is precisely my point about CONTEXT. But if it fits one’s agenda, then “taken out of context” will fool some. This used to be call propaganda.
