6:15 p.m. | Updated Christiane Amanpour is leaving the anchor chair of ABC’s “This Week” and returning to her old network home, CNN, as the anchor of an evening newscast on CNN International.
The changes, confirmed Tuesday evening, come a year and a half after Ms. Amanpour surprised her colleagues at CNN by leaving the network to anchor “This Week,” the Sunday morning public affairs program on ABC.

I’m glad that what’s-her-name will be going from one network I don’t watch to another one I never watch. Her anonymity is secure.
Surprised it took so long. TV is all about ratings, and this horse didn’t walk. George for all his warts was telegenic and affable. CA earned her spurs reporting on the middle east and cozying up to dictators, neither of which plays well on Sunday mornings.
Good riddance. She can return to the camel herders.

She couldn’t handle Brian Ross sometimes reporting the truth and Jake Tapper, a real reporter, making her look like fool! I beg my pardon...she did a good job of making herself look like a fool!
I think she used to work with the Peter Arnett and Bernard Shaw group during the Gulf War. That’s the last I’ve seen of her.

The move is because she had poor ratings on ABC. They had to move her out and find a position for her. I think she is going to a global reporter for CNN, not the nightly anchor, which Anderson Cooper is doing.

Tapper is a liberal a**hole. During the Bush years whenever he made his evening report from the WH he was either scowling or sneering. Now with Obama it's all smiles and chuckles ... at worst, given a Obama story he can't put a happy face on his features are neutral.
Wow... can you imagine the uptick in their ratings if they actually assigned a Conservative for this show? They just can’t bring themselves to this point - after all, propaganda is more important than money to these folks.
“Hirsute” comes to mind. This woman has to shave twice a day. And that’s just her face!
