We've escaped the dreary cold of Seattle by hoping a flight to Oahu or the Big Island the last few years. We wanted to go to Maui this year, but then figured out that it would cost us $5,000 to stay in a nice place.

So, we booked a condo in Palm Desert, CA. We depart on Saturday. Yey. We will go hiking and enjoy the sun.

My wife and I went to see the movie “The Descendents” which takes place in Hawaii. Some really really beautiful shots of Hawaii and how people live.

I could have gone there right after the movie :)
