"They have attached a poison pill -- literally, colleagues -- because it will kill 8,100 more people more than would have otherwise been killed from pollution," Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Cali.) said on the Senate floor today about Republicans trying to roll back a Clean Air Act provision.

"So have that for a Christmas gift," Boxer said after she scared people with the 8,100 number.

I agree. You’re still nailing it. Good call.

I think the key word here is “waiting”. LOL

She should be called on it. Good job. The woman is deranged, and what passes for our media, looks the other way.

It’s like fiddling while Rome burns isn’t it.

Of course, because a woman has absolute right to her own body. Kill the pesky litle fetuses. So darned inconvenient.

But save the snail darters and water invertebrates.

In a Congress made up of thieves, perverts, liars and plain old scum, BB stands out as stupidity without equal.

Nope, Rush was talking about it this morning.

By her statement, Boxer is saying is that she is willing to be personally responsible for the deaths of some 72,900 folks. How so? Apparently she believes the proposed pollution restrictions will save some 8,100 lives. What is left unsaid is that by making the regulations 10-times more restrictive, one could extrapolate a saving of 81,000 lives. So Boxer is saying that she is okay sacrificing those extra 72,000 folks by not being willing to do what's necessary to protect their lives.

Just who are these walking corpses and where do they live?

Don’t forget the Delta Smelt that is more important than food farmed in the CA central valley, so important that instead of allowing water to go into aqueduct, they pump the water and freshwater smelt into the ocean.

Where do these numbers come from? 8100? Seems like a strange estimation number.

Do they have a formula somewhere that says X people die for each mile of pipeline?

Maybe they think that employment kills people faster than unemployment. Thus each job equates to killing someone.

Since the law wouldn’t take effect until after Christmas, it is physically impossible for changes from the law to kill anybody for Christmas.

So she is simply lying. Once you realise that, how she GOT the false number is really less important.

When is Priebus going to respond by saying that this sort of speech should not be condoned and that a censure vote should be cast by the Congress?

Boxer, like Holder and Obama, is, after all, a professional liar.

And their constituents love them for it.
