Eligible citizens have a right to vote, but it's their responsibility to register.

Umm, voting is a responsibility & a priviledge, not a right. It is the governments DUTY to register all citizens eligible to vote.

Any American citizen should be able to walk into any voting booth and have thier vote counted. It is the governments DUTY to ensure that no citizen is denied this opportunity.

The government also has the DUTY to ensure that elections are fair, i.e. no double voting - only citizens etc ..., AND to ensure that reasonable efforts are made to allow citizens which may be obstructed from the polls a chance to vote (Military, disabled, etc ...).

Show me proof that voting is not a right.

My argument is documented........

From the Declaration of Independence:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Among the others, could voting be argued as a right also?

How many rights are "endowed by our creator"?

It is the governments DUTY to register all citizens who fill out a registration card and present it to the proper authorities and who are eligible to vote.

I Fixed your sentence for you. The government has no authority or duty to register people to vote except for the citizens who wish to do so.
