The Company Ron Paul Keeps
The Weekly Standard ^ | Dec 26, 2011 | James Kirchick

Posted on 12/17/2011 12:53:38 PM PST by Proud2BeRight

"The Republican Jewish Coalition announced this month that congressman Ron Paul would not be among the six guests invited to participate in its Republican Presidential Candidates Forum"........ "While Paul’s views on Israel certainly place him outside the American, never mind Republican, mainstream, there is an even more elementary reason the RJC was right to exclude him from its event. It is Paul’s lucrative and decades-long promotion of bigotry and conspiracy theories, for which he has yet to account fully, and his continuing espousal of extremist views, that should make him unwelcome at any respectable forum, not only those hosted by Jewish organizations. "

just because a person can do something, should he/she be doing it?
And I disagree with you again. Paul has no "right" to express his opinion on RJC's dime or anyone else's.

Those newsletters appeared a long time ago and over multiple campaigns. I’ve known about them for four years. The Paul cult simply wants to ignore them. It is no different than the Obamabots ignoring William Ayers because it happened a while back. Their content has not changed and they exist.

I will repeat my question to you: “So do you agree with the Ron Paul newsletters? Do you believe someone who puts his name to such vile crap is presidential material?”

What if China or Russia wants to eradicate us? Or spread communism at the point of a gun or a fleet of drones?

We had the Crusades to prevent the conquest of Islam. Charles "The Hammer" Martel defeated the Muslims who had planned on conquering France, at the battle of Tours. Reagan won the Cold War to prevent the spread of Communism. Have you forgotten history? Freedom is always under attack by totalitarians, be they Communists or Islamists.

Have any muslim friends that you can actually talk to? I do. You are playing into the divide and conquer BS. Do you like or support the founding fathers? They had a non-interventionist philosophy. Live and let live. Does our Lord Jesus Christ say that we should eradicate a religion? Nope......it is for our God to decide on Judgement Day. And I choose not to go to hostile places in the world. Just like we should not be in the Middle East. Ask our military members. They say the same. Again....”support the troops”?

Wow.....I guess you don’t support our founding fathers. If I remember history correct...our country was founded after the crusades. Our founding fathers learned from history. That’s cool. Hey...you love war. I guess you will be voting for Obama and his war team. They love war too and meddling in other countries.

Good. Ask them about the passages from their Holy Books. Ask them what it means. Read the book I cited. Read Robert Spencer's website.

Educate yourself about the evil of Islam, and then have the dialogue with your muslim friends.

You might be able to convert them to Christianity.

Although in their religion, that carries the death penalty.

I, too, find myself surprised that the party of peace and prosperity, the Republicans, have become such war mongers.

I had originally favored Bachmann but she too has joined the "Iran must be bombed" brigade.

Personally, I will not be overly worried about Iran until I see Iranians on camel-back swimming into an American harbor.

I favor "Rattle Snake" diplomacy as represented on the Gadsden flag. Be friends with everyone until they mess with you and then practice nation-eradication, not nation-building.

I have no idea what you are talking about. The founding Fathers would have fought Islamists trying to take over our country, and convert them to Islam.

I hate war. But I know freedom isn't free.

Ron Paul is right for the wrong reasons.

Iran is not nowhere near as dangerous as God is. God's enemies: secular humanism and islam are on a collision course. Whenever we go to war against Iran it will be God's wrath upon us. No amount of clever diplomacy or brute force can protect us from God. 9/11 shows us that it will not take a superpower to bring us to our knees. We can crumble from within and without like Rome.

Good to hear from you my friend. I believe that we should only go to war....but absolutely as the last resort. And it must be declared by the US Congress as spelled out in Article 1 Section 8 of the US Constitution. Exactly as Ron Paul has stated.

The recent power grabs by the president and congress are scary. Everyone on FR will be sick when americans start getting snatched up for “radical views”.

Remember all.....the democratic congress members have call the GOP radicals quite a few times. Dangerous language that could someday be taken to the extreme. And that day might be sooner than we all think.

Our founding fathers learned from history.

The First Barbary War was fought against the Muslim States from 1801–1805. “The shores of Tripoli.” This a mere 14 years after the founding of this country. Yeah, we have avoided war from the very beginning.

Ask our military members.

I don't know if you are actually quoting "military people" or just repeating someone else's line, but I happen to work in an Air Force organization where our guys have been deployed to the ME and not one of them says they support Ron Paul or that we should not be in the ME.

Who is taking over our country? You need to read the bible more and trust in Jesus. if you are indeed a Catholic....follow Jesus. I am not espousing to be better. I am very far from that.....and I am trying to get back on track. But as a Catholic and believer in Jesus....I know that he preaches peace and he is the one to give out punishment.

“Again...not true. There is your answer.”

Really? What is “not true”?

That the subject has been around?

Lets look back four years:
1/8/2008 The New Republic - “Angry White Man, The bigoted past of Ron Paul.”
http://www.tnr.com/article/politics/angry-white-man?id=e2f15397-a3c7-4720-ac15-4532a7da84ca&k=15257

Now, lets step back 15 years:
11/1/1996 Austin Chronicle “Paul-itically Incorrect,
Ron Paul’s Wacky Views Highlight a Bitter Race”

Or do you say that there are no newsletters?
A few from over two decades of their being published and in .PDF form:
http://www.tnr.com/print/article/politics/ron-paul-newsletter

Now would you like to answer my questions?

Keep asking. I know a ton of Marines and US Army members ( and at least (10 SF dudes) that say otherwise. Do you really think that we are spreading “hope and democracy”? Do you think spreading judeo christian values of the United States will last after we leave the ME? Or should we stay there for decades like we did in Japan or Germany?

Who is taking over our country?

Right now, the Marxists.

But you are jumping all over the place and I do not know your point.

You started by questioning my tag line. I gave you much to read to counter your naive beliefs. You cannot remain ignorant about the threat of Islam.

Christ commanded you to "go and make disciples of all nations" Just try that in a muslim country.

Personally I don't believe the 9/11 truth-er crap and I don't care about old newsletters but I do believe that the Iraq and Afghanistan war effort was a colossal failure. We lost American lives and spent 1 trillion tax payer dollars for what?? We didn't even get any oil. We have destabilized the whole region and have made it easier for Iran and radical Islam to take over. Even the Chinese have gotten more because they have acquired the mineral mining contracts out of Afghanistan. The Bush and Obama foreign policy have caused more damage than can be repaired. Ron Paul has been consistent and is the only candidate that can save this country from financial ruin.
