Yea, that’s one of many reasons we already sold our house and are now renting.

Form a Nevada corporation, buy a house in the name of the corporation. It is your corporate headquarters. You are just the caretaker.
Same here. One of many reasons, and I don’t think you could pay me to buy another again. IMO, home ownership is a money sink from beginning to end, with everyone looking at homeowners as cash cows.
I’m looking forward to getting settled in an apartment where we don’t have to mess with landscaping, home or appliance maintenance, pest control, etc. I expect to get nickle and dimed a bit on our way out the door but it’ll be nothing compared to what we sank in to “the American dream” over the years.
And we can simply pack up and leave when we want without having to worry about the government creating another catastrophe that turns our home into an anchor around our necks.
