Sarah Palin Needs to Enter the Republican Race to Save It

COMMENTARY | Sarah Palin is hinting at the possibility of still tossing her hat into the ring for the 2012 election, according to a report by Fox News. As a political consultant, I believe she could bring something needed to the Republican field right now. She could reinvigorate the field with her natural charm and spunk.

Don't get me wrong, this article is in no way supporting Palin as a candidate directly or any of her political stances. She is, though, someone who has a ton of personality. The Republican field is very dry right now without much personality or charisma. As we all know, someone a person in the room with extra energy can bring everyone up and could take the field to the next level.

She’s a great lady that has an amazing ability to energize the base. That said, most of the country doesn’t like her, the media would destroy her and Obama would win again easily. Just reality.

You are right, that's why she didn't run in the first place. Face it, Newt is the Great Pasty White Hope.

Would love to see Sarah run. Current GOP field is incredibly lackluster.

At this point, I’m just waiting to see how many more Republican candidates have to commit campaign-limiting moves before the “smart” money sees the light.

Obama believes he’s coming from a position of strength. He’s the cool Mac Daddy. He isn’t flailing about. He lives in a cocoon. He doesn’t believe he’s going to struggle in the next election. He has voter fraud, like he did in the last election. He has his birth certificate, which no one has been able to torpedo. He believes he is the Messiah. It isn’t just a catch phrase, he believes it.

So, anything that he does from now on, he sees as easy. He is phoning it in. He is not fighting for everything. His campaign has given up on WHITE MALE VOTERS. They have conceded them as lost. They aren’t even going to waste their time on that demographic anymore. They’re expendable.

In other words, he thinks he has this in his pocket. All sewn up. He looks at the candidates on the other side and laughs. He sleeps easy at night.

He is not concerned in the least.

This is a man who phones it in and uses a teleprompter in front of school children! He doesn’t care about it, because he believes his own press and his team within the White House who only show him the Party line. He has been groomed to reign and he knows no other way of thinking. He isn’t worried in the least.

HE GAVE CAIN SECRET SERVICE PROTECTION BECAUSE IT DIDN’T COST HIM ANYTHING AND IT MADE HIM LOOK LIKE A NICE GUY.

He’ll do the same for any other candidate.

That doesn’t mean he isn’t a fascist that isn’t raping the constitution behind the scenes with executive orders, czars, Fast and Furious, the Department of Justice, Homeland Security, or the Black Panthers.

All I am saying is that on the open face of things he will do what is politically expedient. And behind the scenes he’ll do whatever he damn well pleases. Most of the citizens don’t notice anyway.

The press will talk about how kind he is to lend secret service protection to anyone, that’s positive press. They won’t talk about Fast and Furious like they should. Because if they covered it like they should it would be huge like Watergate was because people died. But, you don’t hear the press screaming, do you?

Secret service protection does not involve removing your rights as a citizen. If it did, he’d be all over it, in a heartbeat.

There are two different animals on display here. Obama the candidate. And Obama the fascist. You know about the fascist. But he’s not aiming for your vote, is he?

Can I ask how she will do this past all the filing deadlines? It’s hard to run when you can’t get on the ballot.

Amen, Bro. I took her remarks to be aimed at the possibility of Jeb Bush jumping in. But WHY she would DO that, beats the snot out of me!

Unless she has visions of being HIS VP accomplice......which, IMHO is unbelievably far-fetched, because of how much the blue-haired Republican Royalty discounts her, while glaring down their lo-o-o-o-ong royal noses at her!

Sarah was born on the wrong side of the tracks, they let her come over to clean up after them, but they don’t want her staying there.

Now apply that standard to the mass majority of conservatives and you will understand how this works.

Sadly we have a big railroad track running through Freeperland as well.

Yep. A good friend said to me two years ago that she wouldn’t survive a run for the presidency. He is very good at reading the writing on the wall and it sure looks like he was right about this too.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...they said the same thing about Reagan...no chance.

And what did that get them??? TWO Conservative-driven Landslide elections.

I love Sarah to death, but most of the country can’t stand her. She’ll only be viewed as another weak candidate in a weak field.

I know she will reinvigorate some Conservatives that are down on this lot of candidates, but the media attacks will be relentless. Sadly she wouldn’t stand a chance in the general
election if she were nominated.

It’s such a shame so many in this country detest her, she is a truly a good and decent woman.

I don’t believe that you “love her to death” (odd way to say it) or that “so many in this country detest her”. In fact, I think I’ll check your posting history!

$arah Palin must hope that this nonsense will drive up the value of her brand. Unfortunately, she’s way past her sell-by date, and the shoppers have moved on to real products.

They couldn’t sell Todd’s TV special. Their 15 minutes are up but some people can’t accept the reality.

I love Sarah to death, but most of the country can’t stand her.

How do you know? By the general impression created by the MSM and pop culture? Remember it's the same one that implies constantly that Obama is popular, the same one that had the vast majority of Americans convinced that Hillary was so popular in 2008 that she had the nominatio cinched, the same one that tells us no one is interested in the birth certificate question, that "regular" Americans lean to the left -- that impression is an illusion.

That powerful illusion has fooled limited government Americans, conservatives, and Republicans into thinking they're the minority. People say the MSM "elected" Obama, but that is wrong. VOTE FRAUD (and the rest of the cocktail of vote manipulation, vote manufacture, ginned votes, bribed votes, etc.) elected Obama, along with Franken and probably Pelosi and Barney Frank and Reid, etc. The MSM was only an accessory in that for decades, it has convinced a majority of Americans that they're a minority, and when they're "represented" by politicians they actually rejected, they're preconditioned to accept it instead of understanding that VOTE FRAUD is creating a situation where a decided radical minority has fraudulently seized power over a bamboozled majority.

I think there's a pretty good chance that Palin is more popular than it appears via the reflection we see of America in the MSM mirror. I am certain that Palin would become more popular as people hear her. She has "it."

Gingrich, on the other hand -- if he gets the nomination, I'll support him (barring unforseen events) but walk into it with my eyes WIDE OPEN: Newt is mercurial, he's limited government one day, progressive "Republican" the next. He's a crap shoot, but there's a decent chance he'll do right by limited government principle at least some of the time (unlike Romney, where it is 100 percent guaranteed he will betray that principle all the time).

But in America, I think it's safe to say Gingrich is not what anyone could call "popular," and he is certainly not more popular than Palin, neither among Republicans nor among Americans in general.

Gingrich has been demonized and vetted almost as much as Palin, and he's not evey remotely as charismatic or attractive as Palin. His chances of rising like a Phoenix from being demonized, is pretty slim, whereas Palin is equipped by nature and talent to overcome efforts to demonize her.

Your tagline: It takes a village of idiots to elect a village idiot.

In America, it takes VOTE FRAUD and VOTE MANIPULATION to elect state and national idiots, and it takes a media-created illusion to convince the majority of Americans otherwise.

That you think most of your fellow "villagers" are idiots, that you gage Palin by the fact that "they couldn't sell Todd's TV special. Their 15 minutes are up ..." indicates that you are completely under the spell of the MSM's illusion.

WE ARE THE MAJORITY, but media and culture present the illusion that we're not. No matter how good an illusion, it's still an illusion that will collapse when faced with reality. The reality is that Americans have rejected liberalism at the polls for a long time yet a minority has fraudulently seized power over the majority, and the sh*it is hitting the fan because REALITY trumps illusion in the end.

That is what the 2012 election ultimately boils down to.
