Because you think you’re completely up-to-date on Ron Paul, does he support the repeal of the repeal of DADT? Does he support a Constitutional amendment that would prohibit the sodomite burlesque of marriage? (please don’t tell me that the Constitution leaves it to the states because, as should be apparent, that would be begging the question).

This is a fascinating thread. Kooks who will believe any smear against RP attack because I have pointed out that they are being played for rubes regarding the newsletter. Now, the RP side is up in arms over my simply pointing out what RP has publicly stated.

So, if they stick us with him on the ballot, who are you going to vote for? Hussein? BTW, Romney is almost my last choice, along with Huntsman and Paul. All 3 of them suck.

I’m just trying to figure what the hell people are seeing in this guy that makes them think he’d be such a wonderful president. It’s quite baffling.

I think it's a power struggle, with the "RINO" faction mobilizing to cling to control of the Republican party. The Democrats IMO don't have as much of a struggle among their various constituencies because it's mostly a matter of buying off the group that's loudest at the time, and they muddle along -- i.e., primarily economic in the sense of everyone wanting his share now, and the devil take the hindmost.

It really is a philosophical rift in the GOP though, and I don't know how much longer the conservatives and the RINOs can continue to inhabit -- or pretend to inhabit -- the same party.

I'm not recommending it, mind you -- I just think a major party realignment is long overdue, probably the rise of a socially as well as economically conservative third party. I do think such a third party would draw off a lot of Dems and Independents who are instinctively conservative, but shy away from the Republican "brand" for historical reasons (or the atavistic fear that their grandmother or great-grandfather from different era would smack them from beyond the grave if they registered Republican -- LOL, but serious!).

I didn’t need any more reasons not to vote for him, but thanks anyhow.

Every training event session was online slide shows. I tried to do a search on the official Texas military site for DADT. Here is what I got:

Search has been disabled by the Army G6 for security reasons.

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!

This is a fascinating thread. Kooks who will believe any smear against RP attack because I have pointed out that they are being played for rubes regarding the newsletter. Now, the RP side is up in arms over my simply pointing out what RP has publicly stated.

So you think RuPaul (Mark Levin's term for him) will make a good President? Tell me, in his 30+ years in Congress, how many fellow Congressmen has he won to his side? What ground-breaking legislation has he sponsored? Where is the Paul Caucus?

You believe he's going to accomplish these wonderful things as President - how? What powers will he have to make these things happen, if he's been unable in 30+ years to persuade anyone on the Hill? The powers of the Executive are not much more than the power of persuasion. The Legislature makes the rules, and the President has to persuade them to go along with his plans. Can RuPaul do this, or do you assume he'll magically be granted extra-constitutional dictatorial powers?

RuPaul is nothing more than an annoying nutcase. Terrific domestic ideas, but internationally he's the reincarnation of George McGovern. But that's all beside the point. If God forbid he was elected President, he would be the most ineffectual Executive in history, because he'd never get a majority in Congress to go along with his ideas.

I don't expect you to pay any attention to what I've written, because your mind is made up and I'm only going to confuse you with facts. But hopefully there will be some who read this and will come to understand what a disaster a RuPaul Presidency would be.

I was irate when DADT was implemented. It was a sellout that has led to the current circumstances. We can thank Colin Powell for that.

“So you think RuPaul (Mark Levin’s term for him) will make a good President?”

Another poster with a reading comprehension problem.

I have never said that RP is my candidate, would be a good President, or is even remotely likely to win the nomination.

I also see that you imply you are in command of the “facts”, but you are so deranged in you hatred of a candidate whose positions you don’t understand, and don’t even care to understand, that you simply froth at the mouth at the mention of his name.

There are aspects of what RP advocates that I support and other aspects that I don’t. What I object to is the smearing of RP (and others such as Herman Cain).

Even though you have somehow concluded that I am an RP supporter, the “fact” is that, on the whole, I much prefer Perry or Bachmann. But I would hate to confuse you since you, like many on FR, think that if you prefer one candidate one must also think that all the others must be evil, unfit “nutcases”. Mittens I can’t abide, and Newt is not much better, but I’d still vote for him.

Even with the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” this is still a violation of UCMJ. Public Display of Affection (PDA) is punishable...

Evidently not when the CIC, all the admirals and joint chiefs are smiling benevolently on the scene.

I know what you mean, my dog loves to stick her head out the window too. BUT this dog was terrified and Mitt admitted to having to stop the car to wash off the diarrhea off the crate, the dog, and the car— and then he just got in and finished the trip.

Would your dog like that?

I don’t want to seem like I am “attacking you”, but rather...I want to put this into perspective. He seems to be the kind of guy that has a pet because it is what he is supposed to do for his image. And doing stuff because he thinks it helps his image is dangerous.

It’s what you do when no one is watching that really tells folks about your character .

The “effing” guy drove from Boston to Ontario with his dog in a crate tied to the top of a car.

This would be a good scene in “American Vacation II” . Imagine what Chevy Chase could do with that.

Does anyone seriously believe that these admirals and joint chiefs of staff ( smiling above) hold as sacred their oath before God to defend the Constitution?

If they do they are a fool.

( Now watch. Someone is bound to slam me for “diissing” the military.)

I've read your posts. You are from Maine, pro-RINO and can live with a Romney Presidency. You've directly replied to Jim Robinson. Why the zot hammer hasn't found you yet is beyond me.

Blather on while you can, I smell ozone in your future.
