We need a new Speaker. One who is not politically tone deaf. One who can anticipate the maneuvers the other side is going to make and intercept them. One who can clearly articulate the conservative position in a way that the mind numbed public can understand.
Boehner’s not the guy.
Right thing to do. Repubs were getting killed publically on this issue. This is a war, and you win battle by battle. Don’t let Obama have the mantle of tax cutter. He is just the opposite. But Boehner and McConnell have got to do a better job. They should strategize better together. Should have not allowed this to get into a bad PR for the repubs.
Boehner's in way over his head. The Tea Party tried to get someone competent in the Speaker's chair after the 2010 elections, but after all, ya know, it was Boehner's "turn".
