Tax cuts pay for themselves by stimulating the economy.

And how did that work out while they were in effect, hmm?

They have no principles...it’s all process and politics to them.

Hey Repubs does the cat have your tongues? You can’t explain this nonsense being played by the Dems to the average voter?”

They can't really explain much cause the News Media will only report a 30 second sound bite, and they won't pick one that is effective.

This should never have been agreed to last year. There's all kinds of ways to put more money in people's pockets besides defunding Social Security. From the time it was proposed, Pubbies should have screamed to high heaven:

The Democrats are trying to DESTROY Social Security by defunding it. They have declared WAR on the elderly and the homeowners.

“Both Michelle Bachmann and Ron Paul did not vote on the bill.”

Ron and Michelle are just Congressmen. If you did not want this bill then you need to make them President. Either one of them could have stopped this if either one of them was President.

I fully respect what you are saying but I know what could have been accomplished and how it could have been handled... Rush was saying the same thing during his last show.

I am no longer a republican... and I have been one all of my life. I am now a Conservative independent. The republican party has taken well over 100k from me over the years... and except for Reagan... I have always been disappointed more than content with how republicans govern. I am tired of being lied to and despised... but to my face I am told I am needed and they certainly enjoy the money I have wasted on them. dims just make me insane with their evil.

I only donate to Conservatives and I will support a republican for president but I will not vote for romney or newt. I am not looking for perfection but I am looking for someone that I can trust... and I do not trust either of those two and to be honest... I despise and distrust boehner, mcconnell and cantor. I wear the scars of their long knives. I knew boehner was bad news and I knew that the leadership was lying when they said that they heard us in 2010 and understood. All we have gotten has been their back room, backstabbing, reaching across the isle screwing.

Einstein said that to continue to do the same thing over and over and expecting a difference result is insanity. Well he was right. I will be a republican again one day... but the rinos will be purged and new leadership will arise or I will work to destroy the republican party and make it go the way of the whigs.

Merry Christmas!

That is TREASON at the highest level and necks will stretch at the end of a rope if that comes to be true. I can assure you that we will survive with a Perry, Bachmann or Santorum at the wheel... we will all be in Gulags under obamao... those of us that survive.

George Washington would have an American drawn and quartered for conspiring like that. The scary thing is you are probably correct... mcconnell, boehner and cantor have shown themselves to be less than men and they have already betrayed us numerous times.

obamao’s approval today is 51%... he was at 38%... I'd call it a win. The truth is... the republicans are inept and leadership is not in them. They are complicit in all of this... they want the same America that obamao does... they cut secret deals like the super committee... while showing us all the shiny trinkets in the front show window... but those trinkets were not real... we will never see them or hold them... they are part of the ruse.

Today... being a republican is an embarrassing and demeaning thing. I just turned 57 on the 18th and I have never been ashamed to be a republican before... but I am so disgusted with the corrupt good old boy party that I quit them. I am a Conservative independent... and I will work to change the party or I will work to kill it if it is too far gone. A new and vibrant republican party... one proud to fly the bold and colorful flag of Conservatism... a party unashamed of its base and committed to returning this republic to what it was intended to be and to throw off the shackles of 100 years of progressive incrementalism and a return to acknowledging that ALL THAT WE ARE IS DERIVED FROM GOD... and America must once again shun the GODless. They have a right to be GODless... but we have a responsibility to shun them and shame them.

They ALL want the same end... a progressive America and both parties ruling as political elites. We eat grubs while the dine on Kobe steaks and slug back Dom at $500.00 a bottle.

No... obama has 60 days to either approve it or deny it... the rube-publicans think they boxed obamao in... he will refuse to do anything and once again obama wins. The republicans can't stop him when they refuse to lift a finger. Cowards and commies... that is today's repubic party. I am ashamed that I was ever a republican to begin with. They have so damaged themselves that every leader should resign... but as Rush says... they think this is just another election and politics as usual. Remember this... Rush has been amongst these leaders and he says they despise us... are embarrassed by us... and want our money and votes but want us to STFU. Remember that next time you vote in a primary. THROW OUT ALL INCUMBENTS... PURGE DC... TYPHOID IS INFECTIOUS AND ALL MEMBERS MUST BE PURGED AND DC DISINFECTED.

Starting over is the plan, has been for a long time. It took decades to get us here. Starting over, however, in their plans is a new Marxist based system.

I am not as disturbed as you are with the so-called Obama bump. As we clearly saw after the Bin Laden killing, the media told us Obama was certain to be re-elected. As evidenced, the Obama poll bounce lasted about one week or so!!! He will fall again, as the GDP growth numbers drop, the retailers lay off hundreds of thousands of “holiday workers” and the Xmas holiday sales are not anything to get excited about. Add to that news on the now developing takeover of Iraq by Iran, the failing war in Afgahnistan, the takeover of Egypt & Libya by Obama’a brethren, “The Muslim Brotherhood” and the true measure of anti-American Obama will surface regardless of lamestream media bias.

In fact, The USA is now clearly positioned to be in harm’s way, both here in country and around the rest of the world, put there by our own POTUS Obama by his own design and plan!!!

You are right on about the GOP leadership. I gave up my Republican loyalty long ago....and now only support bonafide conservative candidates who hold America’s best interests at heart!!! The real culprit is Mitch McConnell, but.....if Boehner had held firm, Obama & Reid would have caved. Was it shaky to do that? Yes, but, truth is, that is exactly what will take place two months from now. IMHO, the Republicans had nothing to lose by standing firm, but getting their message out effectively to the American people!!! But....once McConnell caved, the game was over!!! Actually, McConnell should go!!!

I do wholeheartly agree with you that we must all work to tranform the current Republican party. But, I also believe the number one priority item for 2012 is the defeat of Barack Hussein Obama and his hate America, Democrat Party!!! Hang in there!!! We have a tough fight ahead!!! But.....it is one we will win!!!

I really don't see how this is a huge loss for the Republicans.

Way blown out of proportion and the Obama media is distracting people by trumpeting “A big win for Obama so he is going to win in 2012” without even explaining what was voted on.

The stage is definitely set for 2012 - that is when the Republicans either win or lose.

The stakes are high because who we elect in 2012 is going to determine the direction of the country when the house of cards these morons have built finally begins to fall apart
