Hitler wasn’t going to take over the world. The russians were beating the crap out of the germans prior to D-Day. FDR and congress was getting around a declaration of war with his lend lease plan. Granted, we didn’t want the russians taking over all of europe even though FDR gave them half of the joint anyway.

If he did it was only because they were a threat to his buddy Stalin and the communist motherland.

At least they waited until NH before labeling Pat Buchanan an American hating Nazi. This time those Republican "elites" are digging early.

"Buchanan goes far beyond the divisive demagoguery of Newt Gingrich to really, truly flirt with fascist leadership from time to time. We hate to even say that, because it sounds like something an idiot 19 year old liberal would say, but he keeps flirting, year after year. He makes anti-Semitic and pro-Nazi comments, uses extremist staffers who work with white supremacy groups and militias, and until recently put an anti-Israeli conspiracy rant on his official World Wide Web page. He has expressed his admiration for Francisco Franco and Joseph McCarthy (not to mention Hitler), and during the Iran Contra scandal said that reporters should be "Americans first and reporters second" - in other words, suppress free speech to help Reagan cover up a scandal."

Too Funny... These jokers have ruined America and will continue to dig a hole until there is no more Freedom. The Republican party has screwed the conservatives at every turn, and why not? The "faithful" still think that they will influence the platform! Silly people

Both Buchaman and Ron Paul are complete lunatics on WWII. You can’t blame that on the Republican Party. I have no use for either of them.

Buchanan’s hatred of all of things British, being of Irish heritage, probably had a lot to do with his WWII lunacy.

Are you referring to me? If so, state where I have supported Paul’s position on anything.

But to automatically denigrate all isolationist sentiment is to embrace the world view of FDR and reject the attitude of conservatives from George Washington to Robert Taft.

George Washington existed in a completely different world. To conduct foreign policy in the 21st Century along the lines that he advised in his day would be suicidal. How can there be any debate on that?

Like him or not Paul, brings to the campaign serious questions that warrant discussion

Utter crap. The same could have been said for Adolf Hitler in 1930.

Right now, they are not. Paul is, and has consistently. In the absence of others staking that position, that at least qualifies him as some sort of good guy in my book.

I hear Jeffery Dahlmer was consistent in support of the Constitution.

A former Ron Paul staffer named Eric Dondero, who worked closely with the Texas congressman and presidential candidate over the course of 15 years, has issued a statement in which he both defends his old boss from charges of racism and anti-Semitism and reveals damning new details about about the "sheer lunacy of [Paul's] foreign policy views".

Badeye, is that you?

Hey asshat. You made a derogatory comment about me, and failed to back it up with any proof. That makes you a lying sack of crap. Brush up on WWII history so you don’t reveal your ignorance to the world.

Hitler declared war on us on the 9th. The declaration of war On Germmany was asked for via written request. It was passed and signed on the 10th.

It really did not matter if we declared on them. They were going to start sinking our ships in big numbers.

Yeah. Once the krauts declared war they figured we were fair game regardless of what we did. I really don’t get Paul’s opinion on this matter. Talk about stupid. He’s got the same stupid opinion about Islam.
