Most conservatives are for small government. Let me assure you, Texas would be fine without the Federal government lording over it.
Ron Paul is a kook but his kookiness has nothing to do with wanting small government.
Somehow in the debates I thought I was hearing his small government thing. Small government vs little government; small as to size - too many agencies and czars (we’re not Russia yet), little as to control over citizens rights and life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and all that.
