FORT WORTH - A woman shot and killed an home intruder in her exclusive Fort Worth neighborhood early Thursday morning, according to police.
Officers first received reports of a prowler in the 6700 block of Fortune Road near the Ridglea Country Club about 3:30 a.m.
According to Fort Worth Police Public Information Officer Sharron Neal, the woman, who was home alone, told police that someone rang her doorbell, then broke into her home.
Before she dialed 911, the woman reportedly called her husband, who was away traveling. He advised her to retrieve a gun kept in the home for protection.
Officer Neal said when officers arrived a few minutes later, they found a man inside the home with a gunshot wound to the torso.
The suspect, identified as 29-year-old James Green of Fort Worth, was rushed to John Peter Smith Hospital, where he later died.
Officer Neal also said the family had recently purchased the home.
Fort Worth police were interviewing the woman at downtown headquarters.

He was just in the wrong house. He was looking for a friend’s house down the street. But she did not know that. Do not go into a house that you are not sure of.
I heard the ‘calling sequence’ was quite different.
She called her husband.
She called her lawyer.
She ordered a pizza.
She called the police to report ‘someone is trying to break in.”
When police arrived the ‘breaker inner (hmmm) was assuming room temperature, she was eating pizza with her lawyer..
“He was just in the wrong house. He was looking for a friend’s house down the street. But she did not know that. Do not go into a house that you are not sure of.”
Especially at 3:30 in the morning. They didn’t mention on the news that the intruder was simply at the wrong house. I wonder why he broke in?
Three guesses as to why that word was included in the story:
1) She is rich, and deserved to get robbed.
2) She is rich, and can afford to be robbed.
3) She is rich, and should not mind spreading her wealth around.
Pffft.

Maybe the word “exclusive” was included because “exclusive neighborhoods” are supposed to be safe and well guarded but they really aren’t. All part of the MSM attempt to keep us all scared to death and watching the nightly news to see what is going on.

6) She is rich, and should not mind possibly being molested in way that would ruin the rest of her life and cause near sleepless nights for decades.
7) She is rich, and should not mind possibly being disabled by a drug-addled Democrat with an illegally obtained gun. Of course, she should not be allowed access to a gun through proper channels...that would be too dangerous
His girlfriend lived next door. He had been out drinking and pulled up next door to the wrong house. He knocked/rang the front door, then went to the back yard and entered in the back door. He was shot soon after.
The homeowner did what any person in their right mind would do. The guy made a stupid deadly drunk mistake. I feel badly for both women.

Whether it's a politician or not, thinking with your d!k can have serious consequences.

Getting liquored up late at night and looking for some lovin in the safety of your own home is not always a great idea depending on her mood!
