It went on for many, many more years after 17. At 17, it was slightly understandable but at 26 it was downright embarrassing. Again, I was very successful at 17 and never got in trouble but there was ALWAYS some trivial nonsense to nag about.

I understand talking every day but 3-6 calls per day nagging about every single minute of my day and what I ate gets ridiculous after several years.

Picture me working on a nuclear plant and my mother nagging me why I didn't eat enough special organic honey this month. She even called my boss several times when I was too busy to listen to her nag about such trivial nonsense.

It was so much that it made me afraid of becoming a parent.

Parents don’t receive a license to nag their children incessantly. Ever.

Congratulations on making something successful of yourself in spite of that handicap. Sounds like they had deep-seated emotional problems that they were all too eager to load onto you.

You have to break the chain to thrive.
