I think i'll wait until after SC and FL. Or until Rush quits writing articles saying not to rule out Perry yet, whichever comes first. ;)
It was one caucus. An open one, at that. Any one of the 3 of them would be foolish to bow out based on one open caucus (whose results have already changed) or polls that are run by liberal organizations.
If Perry makes a poor showing in SC he'll have no problem bowing out and backing one of the other two. Patience!
If the Perry campaign were a football team, with their record this season, there'd already be calls for the head coach to step down, and the fans would stop showing up to the games.
Few would argue that they need to 'fight on', given their dismal performance thus far.
Perry spent more money per vote than any other candidate in the Iowa caucus, yet came away in fifth place. That's a horrifying showing for the Governor of the country's most successful state, and someone whose supporters keep assuring us is the fittest man in the race to challenge Obama.
Apparently, the folks in Iowa weren't convinced of that, despite all the money spent.
