People better brace themselves. Santorum is being hit hard on the gay issue. While Freepers have no problem with his positions, a lot of other people will, especially the way his positions are being conveyed.

It’s a great point you raise.

The question becomes do the majority of voters support the Gay agenda or are they opposed?

One thing which is never discussed is the difference between being Gay and the Gay agenda. Like so many other agenda’s in our society, most of the specifics of this agenda are actually just a means to promote the Liberal ideology, the same (current) Liberal ideology which has been so supportive of certain Islamic societies, who’s penalties against Homosexuality have severe penalties, including death.

I don't like to see the way conservative candidates allow themselves to get roped into taking stands on social issues by the liberals that have little or nothing to do with the presidency.

With respect to abortion, homosexual marriage, birth control, etc., these are all issues a president should have little involvement with anyhow.

The perfect stand for a conservative presidential candidate to take on these issues is that his private opinion is irrelevant and that the states should decide on those issues.

Throw it back on the states and let the American people know that if you get elected president, you are going to focus on the economy, foreign affairs and getting the federal government out of the way so that businesses and American people can prosper. The federal government should have nothing to do with getting involved in social issues.
