Would France and Germany really go to war against Britain?

I don’t think so.

The only way the Euro would be salvageable is if it were allowed to free-fall, until it became possible to pay its debts.

That’s not going to happen either.

Ok. I admit. I don’t know what this means. Is the UK doing the right thing by not signing on or the wrong thing?

It didn't work out so well the last time Germany and Vichy France went to war against Britain. But who knows?

Things are getting interesting for Britain these days. They have a small problem in the Falklands again, and maybe nothing will come of it. They are sending a destroyer into the Straights of Hormuz to sneer at the Iranians. And now, Germany and France are angry at them. Interesting times, and it seems somehow, someway, someone is going to start an all out old fashioned shooting war.

I dunno... Britain’s military sucks pond water right now. No navy, no resolve, no national spine... France and Germany might just pull this one off if they team up.

a better idea is to NOT pay the debts, simply default on it. Euro can still survive it, just as if any US state defaulting on any debt
