Urgent action is needed to salvage Pakistan's dire relations with the United States, former president Pervez Musharraf told Reuters on Sunday, after announcing he would return home soon to re-enter politics.

U.S.-Pakistan relations were plunged further into crisis in November when NATO helicopters and fighter jets killed as many as 28 Pakistani troops in attacks on two military outposts in northwest Pakistan.

"Today Pakistan-U.S. relations are at their lowest, this is because of a trust and confidence deficit," Musharraf told Reuters in an interview in Dubai.

Bush should have pursued Bin Laden into Pakistan and killed him. And then bombed and bombed and bombed EVERY al queada and taliban stronghold.

He should have stayed the hell out of Iraq.

Sent a clear message to Islam and cut off the head of a snake.

But nooooo. All he did was feed it with body parts, blood, and the lives of our children. And wasted Billions. By doing so, he handed the keys to this kingdom to a freaking moslem.

He may be needing a lawyer if he steps foot in Pa-ki-stan.

That’s what I was thinking. I note in the article he states he has a strong security detail, which he will definitely need, but I wonder why he is publicizing his return in advance....??

Why even go if he knows they will arrest him? Because many want him dead and if they arrest him they surely will put him to death?

Rescue of Pakistan-U.S. relations . . .

Is that Urdu for "give us more money"?

He is a patriot and a brave man. He’s is trying to rescue his country from Islamist terror and extremists and help build some kind of a civil society in Paskistan.

I wish him good luck.
