It was this stuff.

Good stuff, but it doesn't navigate feed ramps.

For birds, 25-30 yds. max. For furry varmints, 10 max, but that's pushing it. I use mine to get the attention of rats on the bird feeder. They leave a few grains heavier than when they arrived.

My girlfriend and I run a business at gun shows. I just set her up with a JBL Docker Sound system. I may have to look into her downloading the podcast and playing it through her iphone. She’d probably love that.

That is a pretty neat idea.

I would go for it, I don’t see any problem with it.

That’s a strange looking .22 round, looks to be a whole lot more of slug than case.

It’s subsonic with a thump!

I believe the Israelis developed it.

Let’s see that’s about 300fps, give or take, less than a standard .22lr round.

In high school the rifle team practiced with standard ammo but on the day before the match, I think, and on match day thry had match ammo. The match ammo was Remington, IIRC, and had silver cases. According to the rifle team coach, MSGT Johnson, the match ammo was slightly slower than standard and made with more precision. The only way you could tell the two apart was the match ammo had silver looking cases. It also cost more than the standard but I don’t recall the difference.

I have heard of the sub-sonic ammo not functioning well in some semi-autos.

Yes, the subsonic load probably is insufficient to cycle the semi auto, plus the long lead projectile tends to foul in sharp feed ramps.

It’s still an interesting “specialty” round.

Yes, understood. The Super Max does navigate the feed ramps.

It looks okay, but I think you might be alble to get something a little bit cheaper if you build it yourself.

Not long ago, I think I saw some stripped lowers going for about $100. (Spikes Tactical, I think.) A standard lower parts kit usually sells for $50 to $75.

As for a stock, it depends on what you get.

I was using this stuff in a marlin 60.

It did not like it, and that marlin eats anything.
When I pushed them in by hand, the worked great.
The lead got gouged and hung it up going up the feed ramp due to the long lead projectile.
