I was replying to you on the other thread when it got yanked.
I agree with you that this is Sarah’s way of giving Newt a bit of a bump in advance of the South Carolina primary. This is subtle, but most thinking voters will perceive that Sarah’s on board with Newt.
I also agree that two of the remaining conservatives (the two Ricks) need to step aside for the good of the country. I don’t believe that either one of them has enough support to take Romney out in the big states.
Perry’s numbers have been in single digits for nearly six months, and show no signs of rebounding. He should have ended his campaign after the Iowa vote. He’s not coming back.
Santorum’s polling numbers have been even worse, during the course of the campaign. I think his win in Iowa was interesting (maybe even exciting), but I believe it’s a temporary bubble that’s going to burst.
Looking at this as a four way race, Romney wins because the other three split the conservative vote. He’s gotta be loving it.
I think any one of the three left could take out Romney if they were the lone conservative. I would go with any of them if they catch fire, but I am hoping that will be Newt. They're all flawed, but I think he would be our best candidate of those running. I'd support one of the others if they get to the top of the polls in the next two weeks.
I agree in that I think this is Sarah’s roundabout way of boosting Newt without having to endorse herself at this point.
Right. It seems extremely doubtful that Todd would endorse anyone without consulting with Sarah first. He might well have a personal preference, but he would keep it to himself unless she said it was OK.
