Even if Rush read that, it wouldn’t matter.

I suspect that Rush has looked into his crystal ball, he has decided that Romney is going to win..... and Rush doesn’t want to be on the losing side. I hope I am wrong.

GO NEWT GO.......

You sound very submissive and obedient, shoedog.

I am sure the GOP approves of your willing subservience.

“No more. Cut government to the core. I can not live with myself if I voted otherwise.”

The temple catamites -cannot- understand that. Truly, it is a conviction that they are unable to comprehend, or even believe in.

"The company was failing, that is why Bain was able to buy it cheap."

This premise is not necessarily the case, "cheap" does not always equal "failing". Lots of these companies are targeted because they have been around for a long time, have lots of equipment, and are profitable in a fiscally conservative sense. Think the way banks made money in the OLD days, vs how they did in 2006/07.

Don't let the "you will be helping Obama" crowd get to you. They are lock-step, the Republican Party can do no harm. Here is an old quote from one of the very early Presidents.

"Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost." — John Quincy Adams

But you will most assuredly betray the Constitution and further degrade US capitalism by helping 0bama win anonother term. And by refusing to at least cancel out a Democrat's vote for 0bama, that's exactly what you'll be doing. Maybe that sucks, maybe it makes the determined holdouts feel bad, but that's the reality. There isn't any single Republican candidate who will be as damaging as 0bama, save perhaps Paul.

Once your preferred candidate loses, you have a choice: you can either vote for the Republican nominee or you can vote for 0bama. You really can't throw a tantrum and take your vote and go home, because if 0bama is re-elected there will be no home for people who loved America as it was. If you really give a damn about this country, you need to vote for the opposition nominee, whoever that is and however flawed they are in your eyes, because to do otherwise effectively gives 0bama the vote you refused to cancel out. There is just no "sitting it out" this time. There is too much at stake.

Flame away at me if you must, but I hope you'll take this post in the spirit in which it's offered. We're on the same side here, but just take a step back and think about the consequences of an 0bama Supreme Court for the next 20-30 years. He's one appointment away from a reliable majority. And it will be strengthened when Ginsburg retires and he replaces her with a younger, more leftist version of herself. Look at Kagan and Sotomayor for a preview of coming appointments. Think they give a rat's ass about the original meaning and intent of the Constitution? How long will Thomas, Kennedy, and Scalia last? I know it sounds alarmist, but I truly believe this election is existential in nature.

Agreed. Bain and Romney made their major fortunes at a moment in time when PE vultures would go in, buying up companies, strip them of their assets and overleverage them, and sell them in a condition that led to quick bankruptcy and closure. Hugely profitable, at least until the rest of the business world caught on to it, but not an honorable form of capitalism.

That’s largely gone out of style now, but the understanding of the argument has led to an inside-out world now where conservatives are defending the scum that is Romney.

Newt of course didn’t help his cause at all by playing up the “I’m not rich like Romney” line of whining. It’s a very unfortunate corner that the GOP has quickly painted itself into after just one primary.

Too bad Kennedy used this same attack against Romney, so they already know about it.

Kennedy? ....now there is business ethics on parade

Later today we’ll hear mor bluster and bull shiite from Limbaugh but the bottom line is he is in the tank for Willard. Why? It’s hard to tell and I don’t really care.
When Willard wins, it’s on to whatever conservative candidate I can help win. In New York I hope that means Harry Wilson for Senate.

“Far from submissive, but I would be careful throwing around a bible handle while dishing off insults!”

Like vipers? Or den of thieves? Or whoremongers? If it is true it is not an insult, and you are indeed obeisant to the GOP party line.

Refute my points if you can, but be aware my perspective on scripture is based on scripture, not Hallmark cards.

The elitists killed conservatism.

Reagan was a CONSERVATIVE and a POPULIST.

The Bushes were ELITISTS who were posing as conservatives.

So was Dole and so was McCain.

Gingrich is a conservative with an awful lot of personal baggage who is reviving a populist message for the 21st century.

Newt is revealing who are more loyal to their personal elitism than to an ideological conservatism.

He exposed Rove and all the shills at Faux News.

He exposed Crazy Annie Coulter so badly that she has been unable to do nothing but throw conniption fits.

Rush is a Rockefeller country club Republican who has made an awful lot of money posing as a conservative.

But unlike Reagan, he is no populist.

Ronald Reagan connected with people. Ronald Reagan could draw a crowd.

Newt is tapping into that populism as he drew thousands today while Romney drew hundreds.

Rush has the power to have millions turn their radio to his channel, but he could not draw a crowd of flies for a personal appearance because he cannot connect with people on a human level.

Rush can only connect as all eliitists connect from on high speaking down with his platform of a microphone which he uses as a megaphone to drown out those he doesn’t want to hear.

Elitists such as Crazie Annie, Rush, and Rove do not like crowds.

They like to speak down to people as all elitist do from the security and sanctity of a studio.

Newt on the other hand seems to like a crowd. He likes the interaction of a crowd. He likes the feedback. Elitists hate a crowd because they hate feedback.

Not only does Newt seem to like a crowd but the crowds seem to like him as the thousands who turned out in Florida to greet him today proved.

Polls matters. But anyone who understands politics understands that crowds are a leading indicator of polls.

Rush is an elitist. Elitists support the status quo. I do not blame Rush because the statist quo has been damn good to him. But to most of us the present status quo is quite intolerable and NOBODY except a fellow elitist can argue that Romney will positively affect the status quo.

I would wager I am probably as conservative or more so then you. I am very unhappy with our candidates. Right now I would vote for GIngrich, but it wouldn’t be with great enthusiasm. He is the best choice we have, however Newt has plenty of baggage. While he started strongly in 1994, but the end of his tenure he had lost the leadership of most of the Republicans. I am not talking the RINO’s but many of class of 1994 and other leaders. He also had his share of moments sucking up to the press, Clintons and other liberals. He has been all over the board on global warming. I really resented attacking Romney from his wealth standpoint, he sounded like Obama ! He has a right to attack Romney, however there are plenty of things to nail Romney on without attacking his wealth!

My preference would have been Pence , Ryan, Daniels or Kasich. I know a lot of people are down on Daniels but take a look at his track record in Indiana, it is pure economic conservatism that works, plus while socially not as conservative as I like it is still solid.

I strongly believe we need a flat tax, cut spending, careful with our reduction in military spending as terrorism is alive and well, My point in all this is the Gingrich supporters act like he is Ronald Regan or the greatest thing since and go after anyone who disagrees. Newt better be able to take these shots in the Republican primary because there only going to get worse if he is the nominee. History shows Newt gets thin skinned as does knuckleheaded things in those situations.
