I grew up in Denver and am admittedly biased. Im a Denver Broncos fanatic. In the Mile High City, the Broncos are more than just a football team; theyre an institution.
Everybody loves a comeback. Former Broncos quarterback John Elway one of the greatest QBs in NFL history had comebacks in his DNA. Since he retired in 1999 after back-to-back Super Bowl wins, Denver fans have been jonesing for that regular shot of adrenaline Elway provided week in, week out.
Enter Tim Tebow. In the category of, Holy cow, can he actually do it? no Broncos QB since Elway has delivered like Tebow has. He feels familiar. This is what Broncos fans expect. We dont do steady. We prefer up and down, high and low until that improbable rocket launch to victory in the final seconds of the game.
Will Tebow end up an NFL great like John Elway? That remains to be seen. Opinions are all over the place. But what is certain is that Tim Tebow is more than just a sports phenomenon. Hes a cultural phenomenon.
For starters, Tebows very existence is somehow controversial. Hes a walking pro-life testimonial. Hes been pulling off comebacks since before he was born. Pam Tebow, Tims mother, courageously chose to carry baby Tim to term despite doctors recommendations that she abort him.

Mark Bavaro is a big Pro-Lifer as well and knelt after touchdowns much the was Tibow does now. No one gave him any crap. Maybe bench pressing manhole covers deters anti christian nit wits.
Part of the comedy in all of this is that football fans haven't often seen players of this size playing that position. It's like someone entered a Clydesdale in the Kentucky Derby.
TT did nothing but win a game and give a short prayer. It’s the media who went stupid and is gnashing its’ collective teeth over TT.
This is all Tebows fault!
He needs to kill a few dogs, have some baby mommas and do a bid than the creeps on the view and such will love him
Actually, Tebow is about 6’3” and 235 pounds. This is smaller than lineman and linebackers, of course. But it is quite typical for NFL quarterbacks. The Steelers quarterback is what - 6’8”??? But Tebow also has speed - something that not all NFL quarterbacks have.
NFL smackdown this Saturday as Jesus lovin, self-confessed virgin TIM TEBOW takes on supermodel hubby, party animal TOM BRADY in a gridiron rumble for the ages! Join us in mathematical statistics of a variant variety to get the 411. Bookies, need not apply.

Nice to see so many of the SOCIALIST DEMOCRATIC LEFT with EGG ON THEIR FACE. I have never seen such a bunch of smirky A-HOLE’S drones jump on the wrong bandwagon since they all fell for the AGW/IPCC CO2 climate change scam.
Did not Tebow recently get voted as the most popular athlete in the US by ESPN?
I think it’s time we stopped pretending that the vocal extremes can paint the vast middle with their absurdities.
I dunno. When's the last time we've seen Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger when he wasn't laying flat on his back?
I’m not sure it’s all about the speed. I’m not sure how well known this is but he can bench “mid 400 lbs” according to teammates.
How many other NFL QB’s can do that? Is he possibly the *strongest* QB to have ever played?
I heard that this is how he won-over seniors at Florida, he out-benched-em’
It’s no wonder he’s so hard to take down. The funny part is, the media created this, TT doesn’t actually do or say much. I think they just can’t believe that somebody can continue to have the confidence he does after everybody claims he “can’t do it”....and then does so in bizarre fashion.
My other concern is that the hype is going off the scale, just so they can “crucify” him when he fails...without having actually brought it on himself.
I think Tebow simply wants to play ball, and give God the praise in how he plays no matter the outcome.
I have heard he works harder than anyone else on the team. Benching mid-400s? Yikes!
Being a Seattle Seahawks fan, it is normally tough to root for Denver, but it was easy last weekend. Hope they can beat NE this weekend, but that is a tall order.
I love the way TT drives the media absolutely nuts!
He reminds me of Brian Sipe and Kardiac Kids with that 4th quarter magic. Tebow is fun to watch !
I have lived in Denver for over 30 years... have always LOATHED the Broncos, and the way this city salivates over the team...this year I’m on the bandwagon. Go Tebow!
