I’m glad he did. He is a fine person. One can thank God for many things, not just for winning.

I think you’re right about that Taliban issue and, to my surprise, most of America kind of agrees.

It sure would be nice if a Republican stepped up to the podium and pointed some things out....although West did so let me stop and give credit.

But we don’t know what those Taliban did to those soldiers. Maybe they were part of a group that set off bombs that killed some of their buddies. Maybe they brutally murdered an entire town, raping and torturing the town folk.

There are cases when the notion of urinating upon a corpse is not such an awful concept as it might in the light of day and with no background.

The worse thing is who the hell released that video? I’m very suspicious about that. And who even taped such a thing? again, this is not something a normal soldier would do....I don’t see this being something soldiers want to put on tape.

That’s the part that makes me wonder.

I toss mine in the trash without opening them.

I’ll become a member again when they get off their butts and start promoting conservatism.

I like Rick Perry and I’d probably defend him if he wore boots on the campaign trail.

Seriously, is he not wearing his cowboy boots? I didn't think there was much that would part a Texan from his boots!

He explained the Romney win but no landslide in NH by stating that Romney has a home there, spends time there and ran Mass right next door for several years, they were neighbors.

But with all those same advantages, McCain won in NH in 2008 defeating Romney.

Excellent point kabar.

I think money, organization, pre-planning and a host of other issues are haunting Newt. Although when you look at the field hes the best qualified, IMHO.

And, finally, how sad that Tim Tebow is the exception instead of the rule. When my wife and I were watching the games yesterday, she made a comment about how many of the players have arms covered in tattoos. Maybe that is just the window-dressing, but most of the NFL players carry an image of being thugs.

When I saw parts of the pre-game show that included film of the girl with cleft-palate, it made me realize that what Tebow does is special, very special. How many tattoo thugs in the NFL would be willing to share the camera at all, let along with that girl?

I wish we had a Ryan/Rubio ticket. It would be a lock as a winner. Both are young and articulate. They are the future of the party along with Cong. Jordan from Ohio. Instead, we have the normal GOP way of selecting a candidate, i.e., next in line. That is how we got Dole and McCain and now Romney.

I wonder if the current Romney supporters are the same crowd as the 2008 McCain supporters? Can I say, a confused bunch of Republican supporters that follow the media’s lead on a ‘winning’ candidate for Republicans...Disclaimer, 2008 I supported Romney for his economic plan being the best of all choices, but this time around Bachmann, then Cain, now it comes down to Santorum or Perry, then Newt, Romney...

“It sure would be nice if a Republican stepped up to the podium and pointed some things out....although West did so let me stop and give credit.”

The minute they did that...the MSM...most likely with the blessing of the RNC would send out the scolds of the party to assail said Republican on the Sunday morning gab tests for being mean.

I can already hear CPT Queeg saying “that’s just not how we do things”.

I agree, Fishtalk. Most servicemen are gentlemen and kind to dogs and children.

However, many of them are young, almost boys, sent to do a man’s job and they do it well.

They have seen unspeakable cruelties from a cruel and primitive people.

Still wondering who taped the scene and why?

Bain Cap is simply capitalism at its core. The weak companies need to be reorganized and the dead wood liquidated.

You couldn't be more wrong. Bain is an example of how Wall Street big business games the system and buys off politicians to rape, pillage and plunder the country.

"If you look at the dividends stuff that private equity firms do, and Bain is one of the worst offenders, if you increase the short-term earnings of a company you then use those new earnings to borrow more money. That money goes right back to the private equity firm in dividends, making it quite a quick profit. More importantly, most companies can’t handle that debt load twice. Just as they are in a position to reduce debt, they are getting hit with maximum leverage again. It’s very hard for companies to take that hit twice."

Bain drives companies into debt, transfers that money to themselves, and then gets to keep all of it when those companies go bankrupt while the banks and government pension insurance covers the losses. It's true Bain tries to help those companies stay in business because they can sell them later if they become profitable. But they don't really care because they make all their money upfront off of the loans and take no risk.

Their ability to pull off this scam has been cut down somewhat since 2007 thanks to credit being harder to get.

Sorry to hear all that.

I'm worried about Newt's potential to win. To me Fla. could be really big what do you think?

Jodi Kantor on Face the Nation, Scheiffer says he’s been reading the book and says he found it quite complimentary. Is Jodi surprised with the reaction from the whitehouse? She says, yes. The Whitehouse has been quite upset with her portrayal of Michelle.

Bob plays the comments of Michelle complaining about being portrayed as an angry black woman. Jodi says she portrayed Michelle as a very strong woman.....why Michelle took offense is beyond her.

Kantor talks about the inner circle that in the past has been portrayed as very united, when in fact it is NOT. Points to Gibbs who did not like Jarrettt and did not agree with her influence. Gibbs stopped taking her seriously after a while.

Kantor gives a warning that people should be aware of this going into 2012. People should consider obama’s management skills in handling his own staff (inner circel) when making their decision in 2012. Oooohhhh, go Jodi.

You caught my point. Tebowing is not about winning a football game. It’s celebrating Him as well as everything in our lives that reflects on both Him and us.

“Still wondering who taped the scene and why?”

Someone thought it would be funny. Plain and simple.

My thoughts on whether they should be punished for this and how the DoD is handling it are mixed. I’m torn between my feelings as a professional soldier...and as a human being who has seen the “unspeakable cruelties from a cruel and primitive people.” in now three different countries.
