Why do these people need to make up stuff about Romney when you don't need to point to anything political about Romney to highlight his outright racism thru early 1978??!

So what happened after 1978?

So what happened after 1978?

Up through early June of 1978, blacks could not...
...hold priesthood privileges in the Mormon church...something they gave to even 12 yo white boys...
...get married in the Mormon temple...no matter how "worthy" they might be personally...
...perform ANY rituals in the Mormon temple...
...receive upper callings in the Mormon church (bishop, stake president, missionary president, institute teacher, general authority, etc.)

Mormon leaders were being pressured on multiple fronts.

For example, universities like Stanford would no longer play BYU in any athletic competition because of this policy...and Stanford was encouraging other universities to follow suit.

In the late 1960s, over a dozen black Wyoming football players got kicked off of that team merely for requesting -- twice -- to its coach that they be allowed to wear a black arm band in their game that week vs. BYU.

The Wyoming football program didn't recover from that misstep for a LONG time...as it had difficulty recruiting black players.

Also, when BYU teams would go into other teams' facilities -- for example, New Mexico's pit for basketball -- the level of verbal hostility was escalated.

The MORE pressing front facing the LDS church came from its mission field in Brazil. Spencer W. Kimball, the Lds "prophet" who made the ultimate call to change its policy in June, 1978, realized they had a major problem in placing a temple in a mission field like Brazil.

Brazil is such a mixed-race country (Hispanic, black, European backdrop as well injected there) that the majority of Mormons there had no pure "white" status and would have been excluded from that temple.

So the Mormon "prophet" changed almost 150 years' worth of Mormon racist policy on all this...(Ya gotta remember the Mormon church has been OFFICIALLY & OVERTLY racist for over 80% of its history!)

At the time this occurred, Mitt Romney was 31 years of age...and yet we don't ever hear if Mitt had any "on the record" objections to these racist policies from Mitt's adult years...from 1965-1978.

Why not?

If Rick Perry can be "scandalized" in the media over a rock turned upside down on his family's hunting ground, imagine what the MSM will do to absolutely skewer Romney's Mormonism in 2012...should Mitt win the nomination!

They are training their guns now...but waiting til they see the "whites of Mitt's eyes" before opening fire.

AND -- ESPECIALLY given that Obama is the Dems' choice -- guess what economic and social issues' concerns will ALL get swept under the 2012 MSM rug...all because the GOP is running the extreme risk of allowing the Dems & the MSM to make the 2012 campaign a referendum on racism!

By Nov 1, 2012, if Mitt is nominated, EVERY GOP voter will be linked, associated, tied to, etc. Romney's overt racism...being openly ridiculed as THE party that picked the "good ole boy" country club "whites only" member as THEIR pick to represent them.

GOP voters: Better get used to being called racists by mere party association if you go along with Mittster...even if it's a situation of going along with the Mythster vs. Obama.
