Another thing I noticed tonight. Newt and Perry are the only candidates with that fire in the belly. They also have that attitude that makes them real indignant when you diss their country.
Remember when Reagan and Bobby Kennedy were assailed by a bunch of students about Vietnam? Kennedy was all mealy mouthed and apologetic.
Reagan stood up and let them have it. Pointed out that if the USA was a warmonger wanting to conquer the world, we could have done it after World War II, and NO ONE could have stopped us. Then he schooled them on what we really stand for.
Just watched the rerun of the debate...saw it the first time and was just as impressed.. I thine Newt hit it out of the park and I just wonder what the odds would be if Newt gets the nomination how likely it might be that he would select Perry as his VP? I think they think more alike than not..Maybe they could make a great team.
