Nancy Pelosi: GOP knows Mitt Romney cant win
By: Seung Min Kim January 17, 2012 10:51 AM EST
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Tuesday launched political grenades at Mitt Romney, arguing that Republicans havent coalesced behind the GOP frontrunner because they dont believe he can beat President Barack Obama in November.
The Houses top Democrat repeatedly jabbed at the former Massachusetts governor during an hour-long interview hosted by POLITICO and taunted the GOP for a slate of presidential contenders that she said was not exactly what you would call the first string of the Republican Party.
If the far right thought that Romney could win, they might be more enthusiastic about him, Pelosi told POLITICOs Mike Allen during Tuesdays Playbook Breakfast. But they question what he stands for and they dont think hes going to win. So whats the sell? Im not sure he knows what he stands for, and that makes it harder too.
I dont know who knows him, she added of Romney. Does he know him?
When asked about Romneys vow to veto the DREAM Act if he were president, Pelosi said that showed he lacked an understanding of policies that would not only help young illegal immigrants but bolster the United Statess competitiveness in a global economy.
Hes not going to be president, Pelosi said. But I think its indicative of a hard line that doesnt seem consistent with who he was as governor.

OMG, I agree with Nancy! EEEK!
Unfortunately I have to agree with Pelosi on this.
NanPelosi
Since November 5, 2010
Nancy lying as usual.
She and the Dems know the reason we have not supported Romney is that he is NOT A CONSERVATIVE.. He is closer to Obama than a conservative.
This by Pelosi is actually meant to help Romney..
Senile old battleax!
Mitt is John McCain all over again!
For perhaps the first time in Pelosi’s political career, she has spoken the truth!
slate of presidential contenders that she said was not exactly what you would call the first string of the Republican Party.
This from the Dems who gave us Obama a 3rd rate 3rd stringer!
Let’s vote NOW before we know who’s on the ballot. We can’t wait. This election is much too important to wait for the actual ballots or to read them ahead of time. Vote now before you find out who you’re voting for. It’s the only we can can save ourselves!
I agree with Nancy too. BUT:
This statement got me.:”not exactly what you would call the first string of the Republican Party.
Good Googamooga lady, if you call that POS in the White House the first string of the Dem party you guys are sucking more wind than we are.
The incompetence, arrogance, wasteful spending, no clue turd you guys are backing isnt fit to carry Romney’s prayer underwear. Much less that of a real Candidate.
Get a life lady, Ours may be bad ,but yours is a thousand times worse, and there isn’t a Democrat with the balls to challenge him they just say Yassuh Massauh Messiah and go along with anything he wants.
The libs will hit us on anything negative they can, whether it’s true or not. In this case it’s true.
A broken clock is right at least once.... /S
Looks like Bela Pelosi is on another botox high!
Hey Bela, Notre Dame called, they’re looking for their bellringer. I’ll tell them you are on your way!
But don’t you feel great that your heart has been blessed by Nancy? That she realizes you do what you believe in?
I rely on Pelousy for my weekly dose of highly accurate political predictions. Don’t we all?
What does Nancy Pelosi stand for, other than taking more and more of my money and forwarding it to deadbeats after taking her cut off the top and adding to her already sizeable fortune? Shut up you old bag!
Scary, isn’t it?
Donna Brazille said the same thing in the after show following the ABC (IIRC) debate.
They know! That’s why they keep pushing for Romney to be the nominee.
Trouble is, none of the next-ones-up are that desirable either.
For all his debate pizzaz, Gingrich would lose the general election by about the same as McCain. Romney/Paul ads in IA had Gingrich throwing fits. The near $billion Obama is mounting for his reelection would make the Romney/Paul ads seem like Saturday morning cartoons. Obama would have Gingrich bawling.
Santorum just doesn’t inspire.
Paul is Paul.
Perry just can’t get any traction.
