"If I had to vote in South Carolina, in order to keep this thing going I'd vote for Newt and I would want this to continue," former GOP candidate for Vice President Sarah Palin said on FOX News tonight.

"These guys are getting better in their debates, they are getting more concise, they're getting more grounded in what their beliefs are and articulating what their ideas are to getting the country back on the right track and getting Americans working again," Palin told Sean Hannity.

Tweets from Tammy Bruce:

So, GOP Machine, you wanted Palin to be a “cheerleader.” Well, now you’ve got it. Be careful what you wish for :)

The Palin Newt hat tip is also a deserved stick-in-the-eye to Nikki Haley. Palin messing w Haley’s choice makes SC primary suddenly fun :)

My little brother just called and said he heard me today on the radio with Rush. He said I needed to call every day until Rush actually stops talking and listens to me (he thinks I am a smart conservative big sister LOL!!) I understood that Rush was just playing the crazy liberal side but I do wish I could have had a few more moments to speak. I was all set to acknowledge Free Republic as the place to go for information. I must admit that this is the first time in 19 yrs that I have tried to get on and it worked!! I am glad that I got to give a high five to my hard working husband for the privilege of staying home and raising our Rush babies.

Well, that's as close to an endorsement as one can hope to get.

Thank you, Governor Palin!

I guess that’s the best we can hope for, whoever is 2nd best, vote for them instead of the candidate you support.

So long as Gingrich doesn’t claim that this means Sarah likes him best, this could work.

I know some are planning to vote Ron Paul here in Virginia, because he’s the only other candidate. I’m not sure I can do that, even as a campaign ploy. But it’s a strategy.

I’d worry though if I supported Santorum or Perry that after playing this game, everybody would force my candidate to drop out.

If we really want to prove it IS just a game, we should all vote for Herman Cain. He’s still apparently on the ballot, and while Colbert is using it as a ploy to pretend HE is getting votes, if all the Gingrich, Santorum, and Perry supporters ALSO voted for Cain, Cain would end up winning easily, and that would really rock Romney.

I heard you too. You gave an excellent account of yourself.

God Bless you and your family.
