LOL!
I’m sure you know I was referring to Rush.
Who is NOT in the tank for Mitt.
Go Newt! ;-)
Good to find it out now.
Here's your original comment, Ben.
You didn't think Palin was associated with the Tea Party.
It was about Palin, not about Newt, or his comment tonight.
Newt and Sarah would be a Juggernaut, they would steam roll over all of those slimy dems like Sherman going through Atlanta. They would be so powerful that Harry Reid would be applying for unemployment/
Well I’m sorry we don’t all speak with one voice here.
Like I said, I’m disappointed in Palin, and if you’re trying to send a message to me, then yes, I’m going to respond.
Are you telling me that Newt isn’t directing a message at me - a Santorum supporter, to get behind him?
If being the VP wasn’t enough to pull McCain over the finish line, what makes you think this endorsement is sufficient?
Which Rick?
Here’s Krautheimer and O’reilly saying Newt won the debate bigtime. as well romney needs to win the next debate or he’s in trouble.
http://www.mediaite.com/tv/krauthammer-romney-simply-doesnt-have-capacity-to-explain-conservative-ideas/
Are you in South Carolina? Or somewhere else.?
It really doesn't matter--you are far afield of your own initial comment, which was about Palin, not Newt.
Try not to be obtuse. Or is that a Jedi mind trick?
Santorum is the sweater-wearer, yes?
“Are you in South Carolina? Or somewhere else.?”
So this message has an expiry date? Cool.
“Try not to be obtuse.”
You must say that to ALL the ladies.
No. I really thought you were referring to the Mite. -:)
I was sincere as to my Rush comments- He has lived the American Dream- he’s a genius. Started from nothing- and became an icon. And I truly wish him continued success.
My problem with Rush is the “blind spot”— it doesn’t seem that he understands that others have made their money fraudulently— subsidies, tax breaks, buying off politicians.
So, for instance, he saw no problem with the bank executives getting huge bonuses after the bailout. They got that money fraudulently- the Fed gave the banks free money, which they then invested risk free- to make billions. The consequence for the taxpayer was inflation, de-valuation of the dollar, higher food and energy costs, and losses in property equity. This then was not the American Dream- not free enterprise- not capitalism-— it was socialism for the wealthy and connected.
Rush doesn’t see it that way- he sees it as jealousy against those who received the bonuses. I have no problem with that type of compensation- if it was made above board. But, in this circumstance, it was not. The system was rigged.
That’s where I believe Rush is disconnected with the majority of his listeners— American Dream yes; plutocracy no.
But, no. I have no jealousy of Rush— we’re near the same age, he’s bald-— I still have a full head of hair. -:)
I guess you can’t not be obtuse.
Now you’re just wasting both our time.
Good night.
Apparently Newt supporters are unhappy when folks who support other candidates reply to threads directed at them.
Duly noted.
I’d wager you’d be all kind and nice to me - if only, if only, I praised Newt.
I wish that were true, my friend. But Romney simply holds all the cards-for now. If he gets the nomination, the left media will rip him to shreds. But, for now, the conservative media, sees him as the “model” president.
Earlier today, I said Newt needed one more break- namely a Palin endorsement. Now, she’s kinda endorsed him, but without her on the ground rallying the troops against the Establishment, it might not be enough.
But fingers crossed- and hoping for another Juan Williams’ lob-ball at the next debate. -:)
No, I’d be nicer if you would own up to your own comment, which has been posted to you again for reference for you by me to you three times already.
You just dissemble.
You made a comment about Sarah Palin not being part of the Tea Party. Not about Newt’s comment.
You criticized Sarah Palin for supporting someone who supported Scuzzyfaza.
That evidently blew your circuit breaker because nothing you have said since makes any sense.
I’ll give you the last word, because you’ll take it anyway.
The fact that she qualified her endorsement to SC.... tells me there is more conflap to come.
NEWT: I am commanding you to win SC in the meantime.
“No, Id be nicer if you would own up to your own comment”
No, you’d be nicer to me if I supported Newt. I only get savaged by Newt supporters who can’t bear the fact that not everyone is going to get on his bandwagon. That yes, in fact, principled conservatives see massive flaws with him sufficient to reject him entirely as a candidate.
I know that for a fact.
“You just dissemble.”
Oh, well, I’m sorry. Last I checked this thread was about Newt trying to woo us. You’re not doing a very good job, btw. You’re making it very clear to me that I’m not welcome on the Newt train. Fair enough.
“You made a comment about Sarah Palin not being part of the Tea Party.”
Yes, I feel betrayed. Most tea party supporters do not back Newt Gingrich, and will not back him. This is a fact. He’s not even their top candidate.
“You criticized Sarah Palin for supporting someone who supported Scuzzyfaza.”
Absolutely I did. Like I said, I have supported her and got to bat for her and now, she’s really let me down. You’d feel the same if she endorsed anyone other than Newt, so let’s get off that wagon.
“nothing you have said since makes any sense.”
Then perhaps you should read more carefully into what I am saying. Or am I being obtuse?
I’ve given you the last word, like I said I would.
Good night.
“He backstabbed Hoffman who was an excellent candidate.”
The wierd skinny guy with disgusting grungy yellow teeth who
stuttered and stammered?
Yeah I remember him.
What a shame.
Here’s what Malkin had to say.
http://michellemalkin.com/2009/10/20/dear-newt-gingrich-meet-ronald-reagan/
NEWT:
If you seek to be a perfect minority, youll remain a minority, says Gingrich. Thats not how Reagan built his revolution or how we won back the House in 1994.
REAGAN:
“A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers.”
If you believe that image is more important than what a candidate stands behind, then you are in the wrong party.
