Newt World Responds to ABC Buzz
NRO ^ | 1/18/2012 | Robert Costa

Posted on 01/18/2012 6:34:27 PM PST by advance_copy

Bob Walker, a senior Gingrich adviser, says the campaign will fight back. “It is pretty nasty to use personal tragedy for political exploitation,” he says. “That was a very bitter divorce, and you’re talking about somebody who is still, probably, very bitter.”

Below, Gingrich’s daughters issue a memo to ABC News:

To: ABC News Leadership

From: Kathy Lubbers, Jackie Cushman

Date: January 18, 2012

The failure of a marriage is a terrible and emotional experience for everyone involved. Anyone who has had that experience understands it is a personal tragedy filled with regrets, and sometimes differing memories of events.

We will not say anything negative about our father’s ex-wife. He has said before, privately and publicly, that he regrets any pain he may have caused in the past to people he loves.

ABC News or other campaigns may want to talk about the past, just days before an important primary election. But Newt is going to talk to the people of South Carolina about the future– about job creation, lower taxes, and about who can defeat Barack Obama by providing the sharpest contrast to his damaging, extreme liberalism. We are confident this is the conversation the people of South Carolina are interested in having.

Our father is running for President because of his grandchildren – so they can inherit the America he loves. To do that, President Obama must be defeated. And as the only candidate in the race, including Obama, who has actually helped balance the national budget, create jobs, reform welfare, and cut taxes and spending, Newt felt compelled to run – to serve his country and safeguard his grandchildren’s future.

We don’t know what the truth really is. The press LIED about his first marriage and divorce. The MSM lies about everything.

Married or not, she would be looking to destroy his candidacy. This will back fire.

I can see why Newt divorced Marianne. She sounds like a hard person to live with.

yeah well David went off the rails and ended up in disrepute. Paul did repent and stayed loyal to the end. Don’t know what Peter did, do you mean the ear of the Roman soldier? And yeah, Moses did murder someone.

Hey the word is she is going to talk about a 10M BRIBE she was in on arranging for her hubbie Newt.....wow, is that more of the same? We need another corrupted character in the white house?

I think Obama was behind the Cain BS.

It has hit me that the WH is rotten to the core. It is tearing itself apart, as surely as it is trying to tear the country apart. I believe it is losing its grip on power and is attempting to rule by tyranny in its delusion of self-importance.

The feeling I get is like the lingering smell of a smoker who walks by you.

I pray God that Jesus Himself visits these people on a weekly basis.

You seem to be on every Newt thread. Rather than ripping Newt let’s hear why we should reelect your candidate?

Pray for America

The press LIED about his first marriage and divorce

However, in this case it's not the press...it's Marianne.

I remember feeling sorry for her back when he ditched her. She seemed like a nice lady.

Then I read an interview a couple of years ago in which she said that as endearing as Newt is he's somewhat of a megalomaniac.

She doesn't strike me as nasty; she strikes me as someone who knows personally that Newt is not suited for the Presidency.

Except when it is a choice between him and B. Obama. That would be the only time. Eric Holder and Obama are suing the states re illegal aliens and voter IDs. None of the Republicans would go to this extreme. And just look at whom Obama put on the Supreme Court.

Would you vote for Ron Paul over Mitt Romney?

I am also disgusted with both the MSM and GOP’s sleazy tactics. There is NO way in hell that I will vote for Mitt. I would rather watch Rome burn than vote for the sleaziest snake in the GOP - Milt.

This is just the beginning of the attacks. Whoever is the nominee. He will be attacked like this over and over and over. Every week something new will appear on the lame media. They will do anything to protect their god.

The ex wife attack will just give Newt a chance to show that he can fight back against these maniacs. He won't let them make this stick.

He knows how the game is played and how the media create narratives to advance Obama.

Let's sit back and watch Newt's magic work. This should be good.

This will be like when terrorists making bombs accidentally cause them to explode. Oops. A huge backfire.

No, she never felt suited for high office.

It bugged me when he paraded her out in public holding her hand even while having an affair.

She always looked uncomfortable...like he was using her as a prop. Perhaps he was.

“It is pretty nasty to use personal tragedy for political exploitation"

Never underestimate the ability of FReepers to do nasty, however.

She was married to him when she said this:

What happens if Newt runs?, I ask.

"He can't do it without me," she replies. "I told him if I'm not in agreement, fine, it's easy" --she giggles at her naughtiness. "I just go on the air the next day, and I undermine everything...I don't want him to be president and I don't think he should be."

So who is the real megalomaniac here?

Gee wiz. If Perry or Santorum stand around long enough one of them might win by attrition.

You can smell the stink already. Sickening. This is going to be bad for Gingrich. It may be unfair but that is the way it is.

And we still don't have a clue about the history of Obama or whatever his name is....

So after reading all the threads on this ABC Marianne Gingrich interview it appears this is nothing more than a rehash of the interviews Marianne has given before. ABC News is trying to make something of this and say it is new and try and take Newt out so their man Mitt can win.

How about ABC airing a story that shows the Morman Church as the biggest racist church on the planet and Willard the
liberal has never strayed from that Church, has been with his entire life and donated millions of dollars to the Church that contains this in their doctrine. He was once even a “Bishop” in this out-and-out racist church. Hell will freeze over before the any news channel reports this absolute fact about the cult that is known as the Morman Church.

http://christiandefense.org/mor_black.htm

Joseph Smith first president, prophet, and founder of the Mormon Church:

Had I anything to do with the negro, I would confine them by strict law to their own species,

Joseph Fielding Smith, tenth President and Prophet.

In 1963, Look magazine interviewed, at that time, the leader of the LDS Church; Joseph Fielding Smith. Concerning negroes, Smith stated:

I would not want you to believe that we bear any animosity toward the Negro. ‘Darkies’ are wonderful people, and they have their place in our church (Look magazine, October 22, 1963, 79; emphasis added).

Smith also taught that “Negroes” were inferior to other races:

Not only was Cain called upon to suffer, but because of his wickedness he became the father of an inferior race. A curse was place upon him and that curse has been continued through his lineage and must do so while time endures. Millions of souls have come into this world cursed with black skin and have been denied the privilege of Priesthood and the fullness of the blessings of the Gospel. These are the descendants of Cain. Moreover, they have been made to feel their inferiority and have been separated from the rest of mankind from the beginning… we will also hope that blessings may eventually be given to our Negro brethren, for they are our brethren—children of God-—notwithstanding their black covering emblematical of eternal darkness (The Way to Perfection, 101-02; emphasis added).

Brigham Young second President and Prophet:

You see some classes of the human family that are black, uncouth, uncomely, disagreeable and low in their habits, wild and seemingly deprived of nearly all the blessings of the intelligence that is generally bestowed upon mankind. . . . Cain slew his brother. Cain might have been killed, and that would put a termination to that line of human beings. This was not to be, and the Lord put a mark upon him, which was the flat nose and black skin. Trace mankind down to after the flood, and then another cursed is pronounced upon the same race—that they should be the “servants of servants;” and they will be until that curse is removed; and the Abolitionists cannot help it, nor in the least alter that decree (Journal of Discourses, 7:290; emphasis added)

Shall I tell you the law of God in regard to the African race? If the white man who belongs to the chosen seed mixes his blood with the seed of Cain, the penalty, under the law of God, is death on the spot. This will always be (ibid., 10:110; emphasis added)

Brigham Young stated that his sermons (as cited above) are Scripture:

I have never yet preached a sermon and sent it out to the children of man, that they may not call Scripture (ibid., 13:95).
