EXCLUSIVE: Internet sites on their SOPA-Strike may be conducting a blackout but Hollywood studios are conducting a boycott. I’ve learned that Hollywood studio chiefs individually and as a group are drawing a line in the sand on the piracy issue with the Obama re-election campaign and refusing to give any more donations. The blowup came after President Obama on Saturday dashed moguls’ hopes that he would remain on the sidelines in the dispute over the U.S. House Of Representatives’ Stop Online Piracy Act and the U.S. Senate’s Protect IP Act. In a posting on the White House web site, three of the Obama administration’s top officials for Internet and intellectual property matters said that they share many of the concerns that the Internet community has about the Hollywood-supported bills.

The SOPA law is very bad law to begin with. While international online priacy is very bad, this SOPA law is way to broad of a law. This is what I call “landing up in the courts” bill.

What a tragedy even HollyWeirdos have no use for Bammy Boy who has obviously decided to side with IT industry/Google/Silicon Valley in this tussle

If I were on the Democrat side, my response would be, "No more money? OK. The bill to roll back copyright terms gets introduced next week; the bill to make infringement claims a purely civil-law matter gets introduced the week after that; the withdrawls from IP treaties start the week after that...."

Maybe they are doing that behind closed doors -- they may be evil, but they aren't stupid.

Awwwwww, the poor Hollyweird 'moguls' (all 20 of them) didn't get their way so they're going to stop sending in their bribe money to Barry. So someone please call a Whaaambulance and give the babies their bottles of milky before they throw their Oatmeal on the wall.

And last I checked there's already laws on the books against 'piracy' and copyright infringement so just like .... maybe enforce them (gee, whatta novel idea?). So why didn't the 'moguls' just go to Barry and his pet monkey Holder demanding that be done? That's a lot easier than what SOPA and PIP(?) would have entailed. Not to mention the new POWERS to Censor that these two Bills would have given the DOJ, and the DHS over what 'We The People' would be allowed to see, read, and or hear. They could shut down FR or any Forum and/or Blog just like 'that'.

As written, both bills would be unconstitutional as they're clear violations of the 1st Amendment and are nothing but Government Censorship. They're both 'laws' that Himmler and his SS would love to have had at their disposal, as both mimics how China and 'our buddy' Hugo now control the Internet in Censoring anything they 'don't like'.

For once Barry and Congress did the right thing. Though likely for the wrong reason. As I don't think either gives a carp about the Constitution and Our Rights. I know O'DUmmy doesn't.

SOPA’s DEAD.

Hollywood distributed Limewire, BitTorrent, and other filesharing through CNET (owned by CBS).

THEY MADE THE SOFTWARE, THEN THEY SUED PEOPLE FOR USING IT.
