EXCERPT

Paraphrasing Marianne Gingrich’s account, Mr. Ross said, “He came to her and said I want to stay married to you and still have an affair with Callista.” Marianne said Mr. Gingrich asked her “share” him, Mr. Ross said. That was unacceptable to her and the marriage ended.

Oh, but he is ugly! And fat and old!

As though that ever stopped women from hooking up with ugly, fat, and old guys if they had sufficient means of compensation.

I think one shows "20K" times more courage NOT to pay people off to be quiet about a past indiscretion.

Ok, you call keeping your private laundry private Not Courageous, then Newt is more courageous than Rush, leaving it up to ABC, etc., to see if they can coax your ex-wives to chat. Bad leadership.

Sorry. I have zero tolerance for people who try to coverup their mistakes. I think its a character flaw. I think a good leader wouldn't compound their problem by trying to cover their problem up.

I agree Romney is beside himself. I believe more and more, though, that he is evil. If the Marianne gambit doesn’t work, he’s the type who would go criminal if he had to.

I don’t trust him at all. I wouldn’t put it past him to buy lying witnesses.

Folks, I hate to say this, but if the details of Gingrich's divorce weren't already known to you, and THAT's an issue for you, then you probably shouldn't have been supporting Newt to begin with.

There's been plenty of press about his ex-wife, her MS and the circumstances of their divorce. This "current" detail was printed in her December 2010 Esquire interview.

Fact is, this is a well-known story that the media is now trying to spin as an "open marriage" request.

Too late, I already think most people are idiots. I have very little hope for humanity in general, actually. Go to a mall and watch the general public for an hour.

If what you say is true and the drooling masses care more about "warm fuzzies" and "ew, he's old", well then there isn't anything much worth saving.

I'm not so much smug and I am disheartened and disgusted. We like to think we have evolved from the dirty, drunken crowds who once cheered for the blood, guts and death of criminals and gladiators, but it is really no different now. Women want attention and men want sex, so I am consistently not surprised when those things pop up for people who are in the spotlight.

So then Marianne helped break up a marriage and then she complains when it happens to her.

And I'm sure Callista will do the same when it happens to her. I think you mischaracterize Newt's history.

Not in the least. If anything I understate it.

Maybe.

But it won't have anything to do with what this woman says.

Some more snippets about your boy Newt:

My boy Newt? What a dumb remark.

Look, do me a favor. Instead of posting cut-and-paste nonsense to me, try using your own words.

Else, you say nothing.

Thanks.

No one is going to “jump into the race in June”. That is an unrealistic pipe dream.

So who are you for Romney? Santorum? How do you think they can beat Obama?

I’m married 45 years. Not everyone is so blessed! But for the grace of God go I. I don’t feel I’m better than anyone else nor feel turned off by others behavior - even snobs.

Bears repeating..often.

We are fighting the same battle agains Mitt today that we had to fight in '07-08 and against some of the same people.

I think you mischaracterize Newt's history.

Not in the least. If anything I understate it.

Looking at the records of the four candidates who remain in the race, I call it a toss up between Newt and Santorum as to who is more conservative.

I believe Newt is more articulate and has a better chance of beating Mitt than Santorum does.

I trust Santorum more than I trust Newt.

Keeping Newt on a short leash, I would say that If I was a voter in SC, I would vote for Newt.

Not really because I was not upset about what he did with his body but I was upset about the perjury. Two very separate things....

Yeah, that’s what lots of fold said afterwards, but I remember when the story first broke, opinions were very different.

So, put on your rose colored glasses and pretend you are a social conservative, hypocrite.

Is that you, Marianne?
