Character matters, regardless of party. A person who will not keep a vow voluntarily undertaken to a woman that he gets to select cannot be trusted to keep an oath required of him to a Constitution that he had no part in selecting. Clinton is a slimeball. Newt is a slimeball. We don’t need slimeballs in the White House.
If Mitt gets the nomination, will freepers be allowed to support him?
A few months ago, I was reading how important moral integrity was. Of course, that was when Cain was still in the race.
This does not surprise me in the least. Newt has the moral fiber of bill clinton.
And many here will vote for him. Damn shame because you will get what you deserve.
We have one candidate standing right now that is the most conservative and that’s Rick Santorum. He is certainly not my first choice but better than Romney and better than Newt.

What will we get to say about the election then? Just a bunch of...hope Obama gets beat and how much we dislike the guy and his policies that’s running against him? That doesn’t make sense.
How can anyone talk politics and the election, if talking about the candidate gets you banned?
I dare say there quite a few other races that then become much more important than supporting one liberal candidate over another.

As with four years ago, the Romney Sleaze Machine are like the old Soviet Spetsnatz. They infiltrate and hide just below the surface to sow hate and discontent and attempt to divide, discourage, and confuse conservatives so that the 25% Romney can actually muster is enough to McCain us again.
Romney is as sleazy and duplicitous as most liberals are.
Of course there are. But what? Are we just not supposed to talk about the Presidential election in anything but negative terms?
What will we say about the election? That the GOP is beyond repair if they shove Romney down our throats and it is time for conservatives to leave the GOP and start fighting for conservative principles rather than keep feeding us liberals in suits claiming to be GOP.
Someone posted a graphic the other day with a man hitting his (i guess) girlfriend. The man’s shirt says “Republican Party”, the woman’s says “Conservative” with the caption “because you have nowhere else to go”. It is sad but that is how they see us so now is the time for us to get our stuff and leave the abuser. We deserve better.

This isn’t about what Romney is or isn’t. I’m just wondering what we’re supposed to say about the election, if Romney does get the nomination?
We’re going to need some guide lines from Jim on this.
