Keeping Newt on a short leash, I would say that If I was a voter in SC, I would vote for Newt.

How do you keep him on a short leash? He's wildly undisciplined and thinks he's the smartest guy in politics and if we don't like a position he decides to take it's because we're not smart enough to see what he's doing. Sound familiar? After he made the couch commercials with Pelosi Hannity asked him why he did it and he said "Global warming is a fact and I'm the only conservative who sees that there's a need to craft a conservative approach to the pronblem." I don't trust him as far as I can throw him. I'll move my support to Santorum, FWIW.
