Good point, but I’d say, “It’s not bias”. Bias is unintentional. What the media have been doing since 2000 or for sure 2004 is what you might call information management. They have dropped all pretense of objectivity and openly push an agenda of the left. I do not trust the media. If they say, “Good morning”, I’ll go to the window to check the weather myself.

Whoever at cnn decided /forced that that should be the opening question of the debate just doesn’t get it. Anyone who has watched gingrich actually speak would realize they were going to give him a platform to substantially disarm the issue for anyone watching.
It was such a no-brainer that I wonder if helping gingrich was someone’s intent, because that was the only outcome possible. It was a terribly obvious attempt to spike his candidacy 2 days before a critical primary, and they gave him a platform to say so.

I am not convinced King wanted to ask that question, based on his body language, whether because he thought it was wrong or because he thought Newt would be able to turn it around to great effect.
The best way to hurt newt with it was to never touch it at all during the debate, it would be a cloud overhead the whole night. They gave him a forum to dispel it in great part. I wonder if that was intentional.

Sometimes I think that we, the informed voters, are at the mercy of the miserably uninformed mass of voters that turn elections for the benefit of the most corrupt pols. The democrats are the beneficiary of such an ignorant, tuned out electorate. You know, like those that get all of their news from places like "The Daily Show" and couldn't name the vice president of the US if their lives depended on it, for example.
