Santorum is not as flamboyant but he is very good at cleaning up messes. And I prefer solid over flamboyant.

You may be right that we do need someone who is a fighter and very out in front about it.

Newt is a fighter up until the time he figures he has won. Then he starts to let things slip. If he can remember that winning the battle is not the war he may do.

I see good points and bad points in both. Newt is not horrible, Rick is not perfect. Santorum just edges Newt out overall IMHO.

We need something bigger than life, a game changer, to breach the Romney wall at this late stage.

Romney still has the machine, the money, the media, the GOP establishment, the democrats, the seeming inevitability.

Newt is a big enough wild man, game changing warrior, media dominating, impossible to ignore presence, that he may break and defeat this Romney machine.

Speaker Gingrich has leadership and command.
